Description
This is the 5th and final Chapter in the Heroes of Midpoint Series. This should take characters to level 8 or 9. For Single players there are 7 companions available and all 7 can be used. You will only find 6 at the Inn, however. The 7th companion will become available later in the adventure.
This is a Hack and Slash Module with one quest. It is not intended to be any more than that. I do hope you have fun with it.
Any PW builders or Mod builders can feel free to use any or all of the parts in this module or in the entire series for there own work. It is not necessary to give me credit.
Most of the NPC's will talk to you in this mod. A few have something worth listening to.
*****IMPORTANT-I am technologically challenged and was unable to use FTP to transfer this file. Therefore in order for this to work properly download the mod file, then download the erf file. Unzip the mod to modules and the erf to your erf file or the module file, then open your toolset, open the mod file and import the erf file. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have to assume, Rondo, that when you mean ignore the warnings, that you mean to choose no to replace the existing files? These are not warnings, so I am a little confused. I said no to everything, and will try to see if the moudule works, but as I stated above, this issue could be resolved quickly if the author just incorporates the erf file, before uploading.
Just a thought Roland, but you might just open up the toolset yourself, and import the erf file, then save the mod to the vault again. This will eliminate the hassle for the player.

The best of the Midpoint modules, it has some good looking outside terrain, and a much longer plot. Takes a long time to get to the end this time. Good reuse of MOTB areas. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

For those who want ot know...
Download both these files into any directpry on your desktop...name it anything you want.
Unzip the mods.
Go to the NWN2 menu that xomes up first when you start to play NWN with your DVD in place.
Bring up the toolset.
Open the mod by going to File...Open...and use the adress bar to find the mod
load it
Then use the "import" function located under "file" as well and import the "erf" file.
ignore and clik through the warnings.
Save the mod (dont rename it) with "save as"
Drop the "new" mod into the NWN2 Documents mod like you always do to play a mod
Start Nwn2 normally and play
works fine

I've [layed all the Midpoint Mods. No. 4 is the best.
This one is the longest but the inclusion of Epic Level stuff in the reworked MotB dungeon just isnt for everyone.
Monsters are set up in rows Havlen style but the similarity ends there.
I would encourage the author to keep making reworks if that his fancy but to spend a little time making up some interesting set battles. I don't enocourage him to give out epic level gear to 7-8 level characters.
Some people have geaded this mod like they were gradinbg Oblivion mods. I'm not sure thats fair to some of the other mods.
I really appreciate your input. I do these modules to have fun and maybe give others some fun. I don;t expect or even care about making the Hall of Fame. What I found in looking into other modules is that there were very few straightforward hack n slashers. I have tried to fill that gap. Your vote is also appreciated. I agree that there is nothing really remarkable about these modules. Thanks again for playing. Hope you will continue to download my work.
Ettore
That's not the reason : I have played after joining the erf file to the mod. Thank you nevertheless

Oh, yeah, I forgot: the way you uploaded this module is quite unusual. Wouldn't it be more convienient just to split full module into several archives? And also just a little inconsistency: your other modules appear as "Heroes of Midpoint" in-game but this one : "HOM5" :P

:) Left the main comment on Heroes of Midpoint 1. I didn't enjoy this as much, because I've felt a huge gap of equipment from HOM4 to this module: my party had mostly +1 weapons and armor before, and in this module, +4 and even higher items are plenty. I can't say that I agree to the idea of leaving chest content from MOTB. Also, it was strange to get such a powerful companion - my previous party seemed like a nuisance compared to him! I suppose he could do all the work by himself easily.
The problem seems to be that you need to begin teh game AFTER you have joined the erf file to the mod.
However perhaps there is another bug in the third level of the hole at the end no use for the skeleton in the circlet so the quest cannot be ended.
To import a file into a module, open the toolset, open the module, then pull down the file menu, click on import and it should bring up your module and/or you erf files. If you unzipped to your module folder the erf file will be there. Select it and it will import into you module. Hope this helps.
No one who uses my mods and gives good constructive criticism ever does anything stupid. Thanks for playing and voting on my modules and for your patience as we all learn more about nwn2.
Open the Heroes 5 mod file and import the erf into it, after you unzip of course. No you do not have to make an erf folder. Should work, if not let me know.
Same problem. I have unzip the erf file in my modules folder cause I haven't got a erf folder in mydocuments. Then I do as you explain in the editor but : I import the erf file and save. but it still doesn't run. do I have to make an erf folder ? And where ? thanks
I explain the problem:
*****IMPORTANT-I am technologically challenged and was unable to use FTP to transfer this file. Therefore in order for this to work properly download the mod file,(here is all plain) then download the erf file Unzip the mod to modules and the erf to your erf file (what erf file? I have none erf folder to unzip it!)or the module file, then open your toolset,(NWN2 toolset?) open the mod file and import (how???)the erf file. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Same problem no transition in 5 mod...
I dont know at all how an erf file can be imported in a mod. I suppose I should know Tollset use before to play this mod.

Sorry, you have written it in the description and yet I failed to read it. How stupid of me. Everything works fine now.
You have to download the erf file then open your toolset and import the erf file into your module then you will be able to use those transitions. Let me know if this works for you.

:( I'm starting to think that my NWN directory was damaged somehow. At first, I couldn't find the book in HOM1, and now I can't go further from "Easter farms" area in HOM5. I see three area transition points: one in the north, another in the east, and last one leads back to town. Yet, only the one leading to town works. :(
