Continue the Dark Waters campaign in this epic adventure that includes high seas adventure, buried treasure, psionics, and much more.
You will need Dark Waters 1 installed to play this game. If you already have a saved game from Dark Waters 1, the following is recommended:
* Load up your old saved game.
* Remove all gems from your items.
* Take all the equipment from your companions that you want.
* Export your character.
* Uninstall DW1
* Reinstall the latest version of DW1 and DW2.
* Start a new campaign with your exported character.
I'd edit my post if I knew how. Anyways, I tried, and the standard fix DOES work for Port Brighton in DW3. Well whaddayaknow. Still doesn't work for Serpent Isle though. Can't say anything about the rest, haven't had other locations crash on me yet.

Hey Libita, Same Problem here. Posted a comment on the DW - full Vault page about it as well. I take it nobody figured out a fix yet then? Bugger. Are we the only ones with this bug?

Well made module, much longer and deeper than DW1 and with a lot more player choice. Quite a bit of replayability with the High Seas system and the Pirate cards as well, would have loved to have more opportunities testing the spirit fights as well. Amazing dialogues and it was interesting to see two costest submissions make it into the module so seamlessly. While the module has many more high points, I must also say that it was quite a bit buggier than DW1, though I imagine Adam will be fixing that at some point (I did send him a rather large buglist to keep him busy) Would enthusiastically recommend this module to any player.

Same problem with the other areas. So expect the quick fix not working with the areas from DW3. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

Encountered the same problem again on third mod, though this might also affect the second mod: Same problem upon entering Serpent Isle's map. Using the fix now has NWN2 load and unload the dw3seprent.mod as its supposed to, but then upon doing the correct loading the game suddenly jumps to a "Saving" screen without a progress bar and stays there indefinitely. Has any of the maps an automated save upon entering/leaving a certain area? Or how could the Saving screen come into play while LOADING a MODULE? _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

@ MAD_NOMAD: That solved it, though in my case it was backwards: I had to change the text "dw2highseas" in the file currentmodule.txt to "dw2portbrighton" (without the marks) and then it loaded. Thank you. I did a forum search, but have apparently picked the wrong search words. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

Hi to Libita, there is a solution posted earlier in this forum. Editing a file in the savegame folder does the trick but it seems to be you have to change the file`s text to the opposite described in the forum article. Have fun.

Hi everyone and thanks to Adam Miller for his hard work, generally I just benefit from forums and mods like this but having spend two days on DW2 and facing failure again just makes me going postal. Steering a fisherboat I was entered by a pirate Carack, won the fight and had a Carack. Yeah. Entered the next pirate myself, immediatelly run into the dock loading bug. Forum provided solution, thanks again. Three Caracks in my fleet I felt unable to trade since cargo bought and cargo hold never match. After solving Turtle Island Quest my whole fleet vanished making me ride to Brighton on thin air. After reloading I commited to pirate hunting. Now every encounter I start with the wind in my back, both ships making no more than 2 knots and when we finally board my PC and NPC´s simply pop out of the ship, standing in deep water and waiting for reload. The most interesting module I have seen so far but simply unplayable. But lets keep rambling! 1. Wind from behind(natical term slipped me) makes normal ships go faster! 2. Played Pirates! for ages but ships not shooting broadsides ruins the whole idea of outmaneuvering a superiour enemy. In this game shooting actually makes no sense since the crew of the enemies ships is not reduced but the ships value is! 3. Every pirate ship has always more crew than my fleet but only one ship. 4. The card game Pirates is a port of Magic The Gathering. Now I have played the the original on PC and could build new decks by ante and buying cards. In DW2 I won 3 cards I could use after playing for three hours. Everybody who feels the urge to play this ingame games should think about playing the real thing! Thanks for your time.
