The town of Willor Run has a problem. It seems someone has been blockading the town from receiving supplies! Can the Heroes find what is behind the blockade and bring piece again to Willow Run?
This Mod is designed for 1-4 characters of levels 1-2. While still in beta format, and with much to be done, there is an area to hunt. As all the mods on the vault today are trainers, I wanted to at least get this functional, albiet very small, mod online and begin getting some feedback. I know, quests are not functional yet :) I am receptive to comments. -Aserak

Needs a lot more work: the village looks like someone stuck some toy houses on a green carpet and the interiors need lighting; also hard to find npcs to talk too. Check out Avondale or Vordan's.

The landscape is to flatand there is very little texturing. The Shop is only accessable through dialouge and you only buy weapons or armor at a time and not both at a time. There are openable doors you can´t go through, and as mentioned above the only quest I could get (The missing cat), couldn´t be finished due to lack of scripting.
Alltogether this mod seems to me very unfinished and could use lot´s of inprovment.
I won't vote on this. Doesn't seem fair considering this is a beta version. Aserak if you read this, I would suggest you disable voting if you intend to release this module at a later date.
Just an FYI under the new rating system I would have rated this a 4.00
Now for the comments:
I do realize this is far from a finished product, so take my comments as constructive criticism only.
The villager types all seem to use the same body/head models with 1 or 2 exceptions. I realize it can be time consuming to customize NPC looks, so I suggest you take a look some of the prefab NPC's done by Storyteller01. Great stuff there.
Also the little girl quest is broken but from comments I read on this page you are aware of that. Is this the only quest so far? May have missed a few things.
Don't forget to use map pins to label key locations or transition points on your map. This can be very helpful to the player.
Some houses or doors seem to lead to nowhere and the tavern was very sparse (I assume this area has yet to be fully detailed).
The orc cave was a bit too hard for my level 1 Aasimar fighter. Got spanked more times then I cared to keep track of, hehe. So you may want to consider upping your minimum level rating to level 2 or possibly 3. I did make enough xp , had I been a non ELC char to have leveled at least to level 2 though. Then again it is entirely possible that this area was meant to be played once the character had reached a more suitable area. *shrugs*
One room in the orc caves had a false rock hidden entrance, that I was able to see by simply pressing my examine key. Was this supposed to be a hidden door? May want to fix that as well, although the small room beyond it was bare.
Also the loot aquired from the orc cave had a belt of freedom in one chest. Was this intended? A wee bit of a powerful item for such a low level adventure, imo.
Other then that, this module shows a lot of promise and I for one am grateful for you and any other module maker's out there for all the hard work it takes to make one of these adventures.
With that said, keep up the good work. Once this module is finished, I will be taking another look at it.

Doors to houses open but players can't enter them. Needs more work to be worth downloading.
Update completed. Addresses issue of no money / no gear, stores with no gold to spend. Added interiors. Other minor fixes. Quests need LOTS of work still. Keep in mind, this is a hotfix to make it more playable for newly created chars, but is not complete. -Aserak
I will upload a mod that addresses some of this. I still have alot to do. While I would hesitate to upload and have many partial versions out there, I admit this first one is more difficult than I had first tested (played with an equipped level 3 to test areas, etc) While I still work out some scripts, this has a bandaid fix of giving a barrel of a few gems (ie, starting money) and a store that you can buy basic gear very cheap. Will add the effect of "rusty/ used gear" for that 1gp long sword, etc - at another time. This will be uploaded today. Please note, these orcs are heard for a 1st level char anyway. If first level, should be a couple of players - though I admit there is not much going on to keep it fun for a party, yet :) Quests are still broken. More to come soon.

Very funny, but after 782 and half respawns, I gave up... Seriously, very beautiful landscape and pretty vollage, maybe it need a little work on it, let say, some money, some equipment, because fighting orcs with your bare hands when you're a poor lonely ranger, it's, how to say that ?, quite IMPOSSIBLE !!! ;)
Keep on the good work and give us some good news about the mod soon !
The rating is for being one of the first to offer a mod ! _________________________ Ooooppppsss, I've mistaken your pocket and mine, no big deal, buddy... Hey, man, could you stop punching me when I'm talking to you ? Ooooch !
Great comments.
I find it odd why a new player starts with nothing... not sure why they coded like that. I will see about a change to that. Yeah, as I had mentioned, the quests (find the cat, and find the source of the problem) need work.
I will fix these :)

This is a very nice sample module. I really liked the placement of the trees and foliage. Everything looks very natural. Good sample area transition also.
Thanks for your work.
Well, it's not fair to rate this module until it is done. I played through with a fighter. A new character starts with no weapons and no money. You might want to start a new player out with something. I managed to kill a few ors (after numerous respawning) and find a scroll and a gem. When I went to the merchant, he had no money to buy my stuff, and since I had no money to buy his, the merchant was pretty useless. Also there is a little room south of the chief. When I bashed the door down, I was not able to enter that room. So keep at it.

This needs a lot of polish; Tina doesn't seem to care that we found her cat; we started with no weapons or armour, no money to buy anything and none of the orcs seemed to drop anything. Definitely needs more work, but a promising start, if nothing else.
Thanks for the feedback :) I should be able to get the houses worked out pretty quickly. Then I can upload a minor update. Again, this is far from being a fully playable quest filled mod. Still, there is a hunting area and I wanted to get that out. I, as a player, am craving for the great mod designers to begin releasing :)

Not bad for the first non-trainer module, but obviously not finished yet. If you can't go inside houses, you should make the doors locked instead of being able to open them and not go anywhere.
