Christmas Toy Workshop
By AmstradHero aka Shadow Beast
Aimed for character levels 1-4, but others are playable as well.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Despite that this module was made for the 1.13 patch, it still functions correctly when played with more recently patched versions of the game.
Explorer: If you come back and have another look at this, apologies for the very long delay in getting back it. I'm not sure whether I'll make any substantial changes to this, considering that it was just intended to be a quick project for the Christmas season. (And also the small number of downloads given how long it's been out)
I have, however, fixed the bug that allowed you to add a component to a broken chest. This is no longer possible (as it wasn't intended to be), so now the visual effect issue will also be fixed as well. _________________________ AmstradHero Fate of a City Module Development Blog Fate of a City Blog
Playing further, I found that if you add a component to a broken chest, and then take it away, the smoke clears. However, the swirly lights above the chest never vanish. If a new component is spawned there, there will be swirly lights with both colours.
Nice, AmstradHero. I'll vote later when you've polished it some more.
I suggest players use a strong hero, as the components are heavy.
A bug: I kept suffering damage when I was near the center when the heat was vented, whether I was in the path of the flames or on the opposite side.
My preferences:
- I run my chars in character mode, so (e.g.) North takes some thinking. I would suggest changing paths to colors.
- It seems that the chests once damaged never get fixed. It would be nice to be able to fix them (perhaps with the right combo of toy parts?).
I played it for twenty minutes or so, but it seems to me the action never speeds up. What if the chests get damaged if you leave a component in too long?
Anyway, a 7 right now & maybe a nine later.
Thanks for making this.
