Description
Multi Player Notes
---------------------------------------
It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce the public release of the Neverwinter Casino combined single and multiplayer experience package.
The current download includes the original single player experience with many bug fixes, as well as our brand new multiplayer package. Blackjack, Roulette, Texas Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, Five Card Draw, and Craps are all implemented with full 4 player multiplayer tables. Slots and Chinchirorin are now usable as single player games within a multiplayer environment. Each game has been outfitted with an anti-abuse (time-out) system, as well as fully compliant with our new leaderboards.
As usual, we fully support what we create. If you find bugs, we will fix them. We want this to be the premiere multiplayer package available for NWN2, and we intend to support the development community in that.
To that end, if you find any issues, please give us a chance to fix them before you vote. Your feedback is appreciated!
Try the single player or multi player mods included in the zip file today! Have fun and Good Luck!!
Single Player Notes
---------------------------------------
Where do the good people of Neverwinter go when they're bored? Why, the Neverwinter Lights Casino to gamble their troubles away!
The casino offers a full range of gaming and entertainment activities. These activities include roulette, craps, chinchirorin, blackjack and even slot machines. All games rules are modeled completely after real life casino games, with brand new interfaces fully integrated into Neverwinter Nights 2.
This single player mod is playable at any level, and is intended to act as a showcase for the UI and gameplay elements we have been recently working on.
Although it is not intended to be a full-scale adventure, these technical elements are framed in a small (hour long) story which will guide you through an exciting plot to stake out and rob the casino.
For Modders
---------------------------------------
If you run a persistent world, or have multiplayer games that you normally run, the games are easy to integrate and very user friendly.
Thanks for the fun mod BlackRain. I was impressed by the custom UI elements for all the casino games. They really added to the immersion factor of this mod.

you've come a long way since keep on the borderlands. your eye for area design at atmosphere was evident even then, but this is a much more polished if very short piece of work. The scripting and custom content is amazing. I look forward to more!
As a side note, can anyone remove the posts that are just spam? that is annoying as hell.

The single player content for this module was awesome, but I have to say, the multiplayer version and the provided documentation really makes this an awesome contribution to the vault. This kind of thing would be awesome in any PW that managed to keep money as a relatively scarce resource.

I just recently implemented this in our alpha version of our PW and it works GREAT! My alpha testers and I haven't run into any problems yet, and everything was compatible with all of our current content. This is definitely a must have for any PW gambling ring. Good work! _________________________ Remnants.
There are a few questions i need to ask so we can troubleshoot this.
1. Have you tried any of the stock characters that come with MotB/NWN2? Did those crash as well?
2. At what point is the module crashing? Is it the same place every time?
3. The character you are importing, what mods are you importing them to and exporting them from? _________________________ Most recent... The Heist at the Neverwinter Lights Casino || Halloween 2008 || Ravenloft: Dreamscape
Okay, now I tried it with a new character, it worked... but when I tried to load an existing character in another game the game crashed. I don't think the game likes something about characters from your mod, nor does your mod like characters from the regular game. _________________________ __________________________________________________
Megadeth has a very intelligent way of talking about governments and religions: Either they bullshit you or try to kill you for not being one of them. I wholeheartedly agree.

this mod keeps making NWN2 crash whenever I try to load the single-player version.
It loads up fine, then I try to load one of my characters, and the game crashes. _________________________ __________________________________________________

Just looking at this, not sure if still doing it, but am going to get it working for my PW if possible. I really need something to make hell interesting and this is a perfect solution. :)

Splendid module. I love the rich interiors, the movie-like atmosphere, the powerful and amusing souvenirs, the music (Even though Blind Guardian's performance was far less spectacular then the one in Sacred 2) and learning, playing and winning new games. I think it would be better: adding experience points for the quest (for sneaking the guards especially) and a less abrupt ending.

Yes, yes, yes, I've won the Jack-pot!!!

-Loved the opening.
-Loved the casino games.
-The Bard Song was terrific the fancy introduction of them made me stay, relax and listen and they were really awesome. I glad you gave them the attention they deserve.
-the scene with the dwarf (I won't spoil) cracked me UP! I don't know if it was just the funky mood I was in but I appreciated the good laugh.
-All in all, very smart, I must bestow a 10

It is really impressive. From the tittle sequence to the last puzzle you will keep on wondering how was all that possible with the NWN2 engine. Even as a showcase for the casino it would already be remarkable, but then there are many other things... like the joke with the lyrics from "Carry on wayward son"... or the Blind Guardian show.
It is funny, clever, filled with interesting mini-games and there is even a small attempt at a plot involving the Heist at the casino... and it works pretty good, considering its size.
Yeah, you can't find an epic story or complex role-playing... but this is a different kind of game... and it succeeds completely... well done indeed!

Great work, you did what you'd expect from the actual game itself. Also thanks for adding C-LO didn't expect to see that in there. Bonus points for people actually sitting and lip syncing.
Loved the casino manager and dwarf's scenes. Also the intro and the Metal Gear scenes were cool.

@Luonnotar: I can't believe! Before you started with the game have you read the description?
I think your vote is an offence to the outstanding work of BlackRain. I really sorry for them.

An interesting idea for a campaign or so.. but without a background or story I cannot give better mark then 5. Nice stuff though _________________________ ::RAWR::

Ive never seen anything like this in NWN. Groundbreaking on the interface stuff. How did you get these things to animate?

Yeah, thanks. I'll most certainly try this at some point. Looking forward to spending some gold at NLC! _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave
Hey, I know it says any level. But considering the SP mini-campaign, what would you say would be a good level range? I presume there may be some money to be made (in the quest, too), for instance. So, the treasure might be too much for very low-level characters, for instance. I realize you may not want to say much in order to avoid some potential spoilers, but, well, any suggestions? I take it that a rogue-ish character will make good sense.
We're begun the converstion, but due to the complexity of the games it's a slow process. We're also hoping for some more community feedback/votes. After sinking hundreds of hours into this, we want people to play it! _________________________ Most recent... The Heist at the Neverwinter Lights Casino || Halloween 2008 || Ravenloft: Dreamscape
