Corum is an ancient realm, both rugged and unforgiving. It's landscape, a wild sprawl of treacherous geographical features, has resisted centuries of civilization. Steep mountains and hills cover most of the countryside, broken up only by dark forests, dank, unforgiving bogs, and windswept plains.
This is a conversion of the PnP Module, The Dead of Winter by Keith Francis Strohm, Artwork by Stephen Schwartz, and Cartography by Diesel. I will not detail the history of the module here, it is available elsewhere on the internet.
It is a module specifically designed for beginning 1st level characters, for single player, good or neutral (sorry evil guys) characters. Any character type should be able to play and you should end up about level 5 or so when you are done. Gameplay time is around 5 hours or so. I have tried to keep it simple. Just download and place in your mod folder, no special haks or anything. I should work fine with either MotB or SoZ. Have fun and feel free to leave any comments.
I've finally been able to download, but I can't finish it's too buggy. Broken dialogs, roster issues, plus some areas really need more polishing. I'm not voting, it wouldn't be fair since I didn't finish.
@Lariam: After playing it, I'd place it slightly north of Mithral Hall (near the northern edge of the Frost Hills), west of the Moonwood. If, unlike me, you think that time continued after 1371 DR, I'd set it sometime after the death of Alustriel and/or right before the establishment of Dark Arrow Keep.
One of the companions is a high con/str ranger who struck me as a good Illuskan/Uthgart type woodswoman.

It's a little generic with a pointless reliance on endless IN YOUR FACE respawns. Everything else I liked except for a gamekiller that made me quit. I couldn't remove members of my party. After one died and had their obligatory repawn, I couldn't get rid of her.

I liked this mod, although as previous posters mentioned, it could use some improvement. For example, the insides of most of the houses are completely bare. But the adventure was fun anyway!
Looks interesting; I hope to be able to try this one soon-ish. (I wonder how weird a place this Corum is - any idea if it the mod could be sensibly set somewhere in the Realms, for instance?) _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

A fine first effort. The "lava tube" area and the location of Allyn results in a higher rating.
Suggestions: 1)allow different set of companions, and perhaps limit the number. I selected all of the available companions because I thought that was expected. But a rougue or wizard would have been nice.
2)even out the fights. All of you attacking one woman makes a short battle, but getting attacked by a dozen or so baddies was a bit tough.
3)Paths were a bit long, especially as little happened on them.
4)In a couple of places, you offered several possible paths. One thing to add a little interest would be to say something like "The path to the North looks awfully creepy. That might be a good path if you have a cleric for any undead." or "The path to the West seems to go thru a swamp, I better have a rogue for traps."
5)Fill the scenery. Add trees & bushes. You won't need those odd little hills if you have bushes to keep you on the path.
6)Since it's winter, & stormy, make the ground white, except on well-trod paths.
Thanks for your contribution!

I first tried with a fresh L1 character as advertised and was largely useless next to the companions (3 L2 available at start).
Very linear hack & slash. Bleak area design - I take it buildings don't have a single item of furniture that wasn't listed in the PnP module? LOTS of room for improvement by fleshing out areas and adding own content.
Likely more interesting for builders who want to expand an existing module than for players imo.

If your looking for a straight linear hack and slash with nil roleplaying then this does as advertised. Scenery is good. NPCs do not interact and the choices are zip. Combat was reasonable for my Swashbuckler. I did finish it in about 2 1/2 hours. Nothing really to set it apart but for a couple of hours it is rate as "Good, qualified recommendation". I appreciate the work that went into it and with a little polish it would rate higher.
