Seeking shelter from a blizzard, the PCs must save a village from a vengeful ghost.
A short hack-and-slash adventure for 1-4 low level characters.
Revision History:
v1.2: increased merchant buy-back limit; replaced some high level loot with more appropriate items.
v1.1: fixed merchants; removed some loot from chests in the inn -- instead, a quest NPC gives basic adventurer gear; added more optional dialogue and books to fill out the backstory.
v1.3: deactivated non-usable doors in village, enhanced Mina's and innkeeper's conversations, made encounters a little easier, made an endgame check more robust

Nice and solid mod. I love these short mods which you can play between longer ones or when you don't have a lot of time.
Played with a lvl 7 druid. Although too high for the monsters I still had fun.
As some have mentioned, the orcs are a bit weird, though. How did they get there? The cave is a dead end and the villagers probably would have notice a horde of orcs storming through the village, no?

Not having any of the expansions, I am unable to play many of the fine mods here - I was able to play yours, though.
Faaaaantastic!
The atmosphere is amazing, especially in the crypt!
I love the storyline, I love the characters! For some reason, the merchant has become stuck in my head - I found him interesting. I wonder where he was before this? Anyway...
If there is anyone out there that is just starting to build mods (as I am), please let me recommend this as a download - It feels 'whole', is small in scope but big in story, and is an excellent example of a 'tidy little package'.
Top work, I look forward to playing more of your mods! _________________________ MOVE SIG!

For as short as it was, this was great. It has exellent back story, and was a concise little mod. Perfet to play just before bed.
I wouldn't mind seeing this taken and made into a full blown hours long campaign... or a treck to the past to play through the storyline a bit, like a prequel. There is some awesome potential here!
Very well done, an absolute credit to mods of its size. _________________________ Stupidity kills people.

Good H&S Module

Hello!
This Module was quite interesting though with not much background or anything like that.It was also a little short and middle-to high level players could easily beat, if they ignore some of the chambers in the tomb
Anyway, it was still nice!

Hiya!
I usually don't like short nor hack-and-slash modules, but this one was quite fun. A little more background information on the ghost itself and what the orcs are doing down there would have been welcome.
The design of the first crypt level (right below the temple/church) was especially nice. It's dark and narrow and really delivers that "it's a tomb, not a playground for adventurers" feeling. I liked that a lot. :)
The only bug, or rather minor cosmetic flaw I found it with the ghost itself; it has the appearance of a wraith but the portrait of a skeleton.

Fun, quick mod. Interesting story, plenty of action to keep me going.
Suggestions would be a bit more story on the ghost, more background on the orcs. All in all, it delivers what is promised: fast hack-n-slash!

Thanks again for the votes and comments! Gwydion669, I just incorporated your suggestions into v1.3, except the one mentioned in the spoiler because I want to keep this module as straight and simple as possible. Look for more complexity and depth in the next one, though!

Well done Toni. Very nice visuals and details. Look forward to the next story/chapter.
cool. i love the fact that it's easy to install and it works with all versions of the game.some of these mods get to be like rocket science if you're dealing with different versions and partitions on your computer.so far it runs good too!

Double whoops ...
**minor spoiler**
Boss does not realize that the character is carrying the item if it is being worn. It has to be in inventory.

Nice little hack n' slash. Insanely tough for a single first level thief (do-able without respawn, but not so sure without reload).
Good job on the visuals. Shadows seemed slightly off in the town and Boldo the merchant was kind'a stretched out on the x-axis, but on the whole the village looked great.
Most of the village doors were selectable, easily picked, but lead nowhere. You may wish to deactivate them.
A surviving thief truly deserves a good reward, but rogue links are a bit much. Would recommend replacing with your own item (+1 leather, +2 HS, +1 MS or some such).
Would like to see more dialogue work / options. The convo with the innkeeper has to be restarted several times to get the full story and "Are you insane, woman!" would be nice outside.
**minor spoiler**
I'm not too keen on picking up an item on level 1 of the crypt to use just a few levels down. A trip elsewhere to Nadia's grave might make a nice sidequest for players who have done their homework.
**end spoiler**
Also might want to rethink the initial equipping of the characters. A thief can stock up on the basics at the inn, but a paladin would pretty much be out of luck.
A nice little adventure, a good first module, and I definitely hope to see more from you.

Tony Li,
Thanks for a quick romp down Hack-n-Slash lane.
What I found to be most enjoyable is the obvious lack of bugs.
This adventure may be short and to the point, but it is well done and everything does exactly what you intended it to do.
A smooth running adventure that's easy to install and fun to play is commonly underrated these days with all the amazing campaigns and such that have been released.
I tip my hat to you for a job well done.
I hope you continue to create adventures too share with us all. _________________________ Help is good when asked for,

Great use of documentation to give hints on the story. Short but solid adventure.

Played the new version, raising the vote a bit.
All the changes were nice (now I can tell everyone about saving the village! \o/), but I think some items look a bit misplaced(rogue links for a lv1 character?! - Things got a little easier for rogues though). I couldn't sell almost any item at the shop (50 gp limit), but I don't know if that was intended.
BTW, that snow effect is custom made? I was trying to put a heavier snowfall in a mod of mine, but unsuccessfully so far xD.

Nice mod!
I tried v1.0 just now and when I come to comment there's an update xD. I'll check 1.1 and change the vote if needed.
Anyway, nice area design... all the areas look good and have a more realistic size (funny how nwn always have giant tiles), and the lightning is very well set. I had some camera issues with the first dungeon and the pillars at first, though.
To be honest I didn't noticed the equipment available so I ran the module with a pre-equippied character.
--possible spoiler--
About the story, the orcs did seem a bit odd for me too... even with the banner and stuff, could be nice if there was more explanation about how they got there and all.
--end of possible spoler--
I played through with a paladin and did have some challenge, though nothing impossible... but I guess with all the undead and DR's things could get REALLY difficult for a rogue or bard character.
Overall, it's a nice module that does very well what it says in the description... a good, well-made short hack'n slash adventure with some spooky background. (trying to vote according to the standards)
Thanks for sharing it :D _________________________ Please forgive the bad english ._.
Thanks for the comments and votes! This is my first module; it was a nice way to learn the toolset, and I'm grateful for the suggestions. I incorporated them all into version 1.1!

Excellent, straight-forward, scary adventure. I really got into this one. It wasn't cluttered with too much talk and side-quests to save kitties. Get in, battle and survive. Perfect for beginning warriors. This is a rare example of a 1st level module that can be survived by a cautious single adventurer. This is true D&D. No frills; a simple quest. The one flaw that lowered my vote was the merchants were all wrong. Everything is bought and sold for 1gp; though strangely you inexplicably receive higher in the selling. I had to self-regulate myself to keep my trades at a minimum for realism's sake: a gold ring for a healing potion. I hope this is a mistake; if not change it. Instead of all that free gear available upstairs, why not have the priest or innkeeper give the adventurer basic gear and a couple of potions for accepting the quest. Then, with normal priced merchant-ware, he can sell and buy better when he gathers treasure. It's the only flaw, friend. Keep making simple, spooky modules like this. I recommend this to everyone. Bravo.

A pretty straightforward mod... nice and short. The areas are very well done, both inside and outside, the church interior is particularly effective and so is the crypt. The story would benefit from having some more details... perhaps someone in the inn to direct my character to a nearby ruin where he could find out about the nature of the ghost and also some hints about the other aspects of the sad story behind it.
SPOILERS!
The orcs are a bit odd, the banner near the ghost explains part of their role, but perhaps some other comments from one of their clerics, or even something hinted by an NPC in the tavern could to clarify this aspect of the story. It is not mandatory and it doesn't prevent us from enjoying the module, but this sort of thing is what would really help a nice, hack-and-slash adventure to become even better.
But the author description is pretty correct... and the module won't disappoint anyone wanting to spend an hour or so playing it.
Good to see another new mod. It's looking interesting (nice-looking Inn!) - putting this one my list. :) _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave
