First I want to thank you the player for choosing Murder in Dunlop.
To play you must have NWN2, MOTB and your game updated to version 1.23
To install:
Murder in Dunlop: My Documents/ Neverwinter Nights 2/ Modules
Hak Pack: My Documents/ Neverwinter Nights 2/ hak
WARNING! There are no respawns for the playing character so I advise that you save (F12) and save often!
I would also like to point out that this mod is a thinking mans/womens mod and is not easy. If youre looking for a game that you can just tank your way through then Murder in Dunlop is not for you.
Player tips
Use the stores, dont hoard your gold, buy potions, scrolls, ect youll need them.
Scout the area when possible, have a plan of attack.
Dont forget to buff your party before a battle; youll need all the help you can get for some encounters.
Use your rogue to do ambushes, have the party hide a little ways from the monsters then use your rogue to get the attention of two or three of them and lead them back to your party for the big pounce.

On rare occasions the unpacking of rar files has been known to induce bugs. (No journal entries would be one good example.) If this be the case please re-unpack your rar file and install a fresh copy of MinD.
@DannJ, yes now that I think about it you?re going to have reinstalled the mod. My advice would be to down load a fresh copy, install and start a new game. You need the Halfling and to complete her quest, only then will you be given the Dwarf quest from the blacksmith. (The final quest log for the Halfling is the variable in a conditional to receive the Dwarf quest.) Once again I apologize for any trouble. :) _________________________ Murder in Dunlop Fanglewood My Class is Rogue ... "You look surprised to see me. I actually liked what I was able to play, and am disappointed that I can't continue. I may export my character (now at an impressive level 2!) and try re-installing. I'll vote when I'm able to get further into it. If I ask Raven if he has anything else to do, he just says 'come back later'. I've killed the nasty pair under the 'haunted' house, and have the scroll. The only dwarf I can find is a drunken one in the Tavern. I've been north (to the 'forist' according to the area transition), and there's nothing alive (or undead) there now but a single rabbit. Even the 'mysterious cave' has been thoroughly looted (although a certain bony fellow wasn't too pleased about it). Perhaps there is a triggered conversation with the thief somewhere that is critical to the plot development? If so, then not having her join me may have broken things. NWN2 can be unreliable when it comes to triggers - especially talk triggers, in my experience. "Me and three other people went threw [sic] it best we could..." Something makes me think you are last person who should be going 'threw' it to check for spelling and grammar. :-)

DannJ: Thank you for not voting. Sounds like I wouldn?t have done very well. LOL I?ll make sure to pay you the same respect. Well as far as the thief goes that is a bug in the trigger that happens every 100 downloads. Solution: Reinstall the game. Stay in school? What about get a life? LOL {JK} Yea sorry about the spelling and grammar errors. Me and three other people went threw it best we could but none of us are grammar sappy so there you go. Have you talked to the blacksmith again and asked for more work? Have you gone seen the Dwarf? Sounds like you need to go north. The swamp trigger is locked for a reason. How?s Dragonglade coming along? _________________________ Murder in Dunlop Fanglewood My Class is Rogue ... "You look surprised to see me. If you'd been paying attention, you might still be alive."

I seem to have hit a dead-end. The transitions to the farm and the 'swomp' (I think you meant 'swamp') don't work, and the halfling won't join my party, even after I found her headband (she's using her 'background' conversation, rather than the one with the roster scripts in it). No-one in town wants to talk about the scroll I found either. I'm left with a vague journal entry and no-one left to speak to. The numerous misspellings are very distracting. The description for the "Greatsword, Fancy" is a veritable cautionary tale about what happens if you don't stay in school. This is a pity, because the areas look great with plenty of attention to detail, and the fights have been challenging.

Sorry Sionnach, but "Search for Suductress" has been shelved for the time being.Thinking of doing it on the Dragon Age toolset. Working on a campaign mod called Fanglewood. Thank you for the great score and comment. :) _________________________ Murder in Dunlop Fanglewood My Class is Rogue ... "You look surprised to see me. Couldn't drop the dead halfling from the party roster? _________________________ Murder in Dunlop Fanglewood My Class is Rogue ... "You look surprised to see me. If you'd been paying attention, you might still be alive."

I quit the game early so I'll only vote on what I played. Having a 7 hp halfling forced upon you as a companion you can't get rid of isn't cool. The point of DD realms is the freedom to sculpt your character's campaign--there's no free will if the programming takes that from you. Then, since the PC can't respawn--which I never do--why can the PC (who you can't release from the party when she invariably gets killed, being 7 hp and all. Other than that I liked the module and programming, but I stick to my guns in respawning like the creator does with PCs. So I quit since I couldn't drop the dead halfling from the party roster.

@Jaege, Thank you for the great score and positive comment. Glad you enjoyed the mod. @Robel, Yes it is the writing that appears in the mod so I suggest you don?t down load it. It would just be a waste of your time. Thank you for posting and not rating. _________________________ Murder in Dunlop Fanglewood My Class is Rogue ... "You look surprised to see me. "Are hero starts to uncover some letters that point of something for more menacing happening." I`m just curious, is this the kind of writing that appears in the mod? If so and if you`re a native English speaker... shame on you. If not, then I would like to know so that I can download it. I don`t mean to be absurd here, but good spelling/grammar matters a lot for me. Thanks in advance. _________________________ Needles in the eyes!
