It's close to midnight, and something evil's
lurking in the dark...
Somewhere south of Buldamar, a salt mining
city in the eastern Shaar, the caravan you are
escorting has been waylaid by undead. With the
help of Mychael, son of Jaxx - a bard of some
renown - you have little choice but to
investigate the source of the undead.
Recommended starting level is 10. Lower
level characters will have the chance
to level up if they choose to. Basic
equipment is generated for new characters.

Good fun! Very challenging in places (which I like), some decent custom loot which is always appreciated, and I loved all the MJ stuff. The bit at the end caused me to snort some coffee out of my nose, which is always an interesting experience :p
I didn't love it quite as much as Isle of Shrines, but then that one is an outstanding little gem of a module that everyone should play :)
Thanks for this, and for that other wonderful mod - they, er, weren't BAD at all :))

6.00 - Good, Qualified Recommendation
**spoilers
----
Nice animations, e.g. the graveyard, bard "transformation", ending.
Original ideas, like the spirits in the chest, special opponents, and of course Thriller.
----
I know how hard writing can be, but I feel you could make the dialogues a bit more lively.
As to combat balancing, for warrior and divine caster types, around lvl6 seemed more appropriate. Arcane casters and especially rogues can start at a higher level.
Unlimited resting bothered me. The MotB resting system in the crypts would make things a bit more exciting, although I don't know how hard it would be to implement.
No background sounds till the very end. Some minor atmospheric sounds would have a large impact.
Overpowered loot. Even the most underpowered zombie has +1 armor. It would be probably better to give the player some gold in the beginning. _________________________ The Academy for Modding Excellence (AME) is calling out for volunteers!

A nice bit of hardcore hack n' slash. Enemies can overcome you quickly--retreat and regroup is a necessary tactic. There are some monsters you'll just have to run away from upon first encounter. The programming went off without a glitch and the like the unusual FR setting immensely.

A real thrill ... er?
Thanks for a good one.

Some serious political incorrectness here, but good fun nonetheless. Short, sweet, surprisingly challenging, no bugs. Someone will have to explain the title to me, I'm not a Mychael fan. _________________________ Been a long day. I could use a drink.

Just got my butt handed to me by the first dungeon level three, NICE ... now to rethink my strategies and try again.
Thanks for putting this up for the community. _________________________ Help is good when asked for,

Quite well done! Thank you for sending me to the Pungeon for some lighthearted Pun-ishment.
All kidding aside, this was a sweet little module. The loot was a little over the top, and mostly unusable for my ranger, but rewarding. Like others, I enjoyed being challenged by the rare baddies. Truly enjoyable.

A good simple adventure. The part when you exit the crypt was great! I couldn't stop laughing!
I thought the combat was tough, a couple of times I had to flee the level I was on just to survive. I don't remember having a chance to finish the side quest, but I may have forgot about it after the boss battle.
The area design was good, and the scope of the adventure overall was perfect for a mini-mod. The use of little-known monsters (such as the quell) was a great touch.
One suggestion I'd make is to do something about the loot drops on the undead, they were leaving a lot of high powered armor and weapons behind. I'd set everything to undroppable, unless it's something you want the player to make use of. It would make it feel less Monty Haul-ish.
Oh, and I eventually got the joke about the mod title! _________________________ Jezla

Very nicely done. When I left the crypt, all I could say was: "what the . . . ?" lol. Yep, that was awesome.

A very good, small dungeon crawl. Some nice and interesting enemies and great combat.
I entered with a lvl 7 fighter and did fine. With two companions I didn't have any trouble at all.
Worked fine and I encountered no bugs.

Another goodie! I admit to serious laughter when I left the crypt... Went in level 8 and only had trouble with the boss on level 2.
