Description
Sarmates! A bilingual French/English single player campaign during Antiquity.
WARNING : Adult content. Patch level 1.23. Requires both extensions MotB and SoZ.
Setting : peplum and legends.
From the author of A Slave Destiny and 16 Cygni.
2nd century AD. The Roman Empire is overstretched and facing many enemies whilst the internal political situation gets more and more complex.
You are a young member of the Sarmates Iazyges tribe. At your encampment near the river Tisza (Theiss), your warrior's initiation is about to end.
Are you ready to undertake a thrilling journey into Antiquity?
Choose the Path of the Warrior, the Path of the Spirit or a more personal Path and enter the legend
You will be upgraded at level 4 soon, at level 8 at then end of the prolog. Level 16 to 18 at the end of the campaign.
Sarmates! implements many features, influence, dynamic choice of campanions' class, crafting and alchemy, found also in 16 Cygni, but also new mechanisms :
- lock picking and dismarming traps grant XP. Looting allied or neutral may trigger alignment shifts
- Prestige : will you impress people by your skills, your missions achievements?
- Unofficial alignment : you can now play a nasty paladin, a chaotic monk, or a lawful warlock if you wish.

Thaks for your appreciation and your vote, sneakypetev.
I know it is rather natural to compare both adventures because hey have the same author, however my personal opinion would be much too biaised. They are rather different so one might be more appealing than the other, depending on player's personal tastes. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! Just finished, great job!Not as good as Cygni 16 but close. You really have a talent for this and I really hope you can find the time and inspiration to do another epic Mod, may be a return to Cygni 16.
Thanks for your appreciation and your vote, Hentai User.
I agree, the NWN2 toolset is still the most powerful, at least for party based adventures. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Very good campaign. You give NWN2 the deserved glory. Is very sad the community didn' t put the same effort as for NWN1. Module builder like you show the wasted potential of this software.
Anyway your masterpiece remain 16cygni.

Of course i was stuck...
There is only 2 levers now. Well, now i know what' s gone wrong.
There are 4 levers. I forgot to tag them 'plot' (damn!). Hopefully they haven't been destroyed.
In case 2 have been destroyed and you have no near save you can unlock the door, through the console :
rs ga_lock("door_family", 0)
otherwise ...
[SPOILER]
Look for the 4 levers pattern on a scroll in a small room upstairs. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

How the hell that door in the big room with two levers is going to be opened in "Batraz' s revenge"?

Just finished. A great module overall. Besides the obvious things like characters, story, etc., which I really liked, I enjoyed the real life/historical (up to a point, at least) setting.
I'm kinda busy at the moment, but I'll try to check out your other modules when I have the chance. By the way, thanks for making your modules bilingual (I studied French some years ago, but I don't remember much of it, unfortunately). Keep up the good work!

A very good mod with everything that also made 16 Cygni so great. It did not grab me as much as 15 Cygni but overall a tremendous effort. Thanks for making this.

Stuck, please help. I am trying to locate Babay in Gladiator school, my PC comes to a locked secret door w/ 4 levers. No clues no nothing. I have tried several combos for the levers but cannot unlock the door.
Thanks for your appreciation and your vote buckwheezer. Glad you enjoyed it.

Another great entertaining historic novel. It will invariably be compared with the two previous ones. It is lots of fun with a variety of quests and combats. It doesn't have quite the character interaction but what is there is fun. I am hoping that there will be more as your work is worth waiting for.

That was quick! I thought I had checked companions, but it appears that one of them had a "shaman hat" equipped, which I had missed. Removing it seems to have fixed it. Thanks!
You must not wear any helmets or armors (you have received 'civilian clothes'), and not have weapons in hands. All the party memebers are checked. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Hello, Claudius. I'm liking the module so far (it's the first one I play from your modules), especially the setting, but I'm having some troubles with one of the main quests:
I've travelled to Ulpia Traiana, where I'm supposed to gather information in the Forum, etc. Well, the only person in town who will talk to me is the guy who gives you the quest to break into a house and steal an onyx gem. Everyone else (including merchants) tells me that "I look suspicious", or things like "there are patrols here, you idiot". Anyway, I went on and stole the gem. I was told to meet Gaius at the tavern, but he won't talk to me either (he says something along the lines of "How dare you talk to a centurion dressed like that"). The priest at the temple says something similar. I'm wearing the Roman suits that I was given when I entered the town, and I don't have any weapon equipped.
I've checked a "Let's play" video on youtube which shows the character talking normally with every NPC, apparently not looking "suspicious", so what the hell is wrong with my character?
Bonjour Claudius,
_________________________ TAMKAN

Claudius, I just finished and have to say you've done it again! This is a great campaign, beautifully executed with a very interesting story, great scenery, and really well drawn, likeable characters. I loved the ending explanation too! I'll look forward to your next endeavor!
I should also mention how much I appreciated your very timely help!
Thanks for many hours of fun!
Karen :)

Thanks again for your quick response Claudius! I thought I talked to him, but either I forgot or the convo never fired. Loving the campaign!
Have you forgotten to talk to Ar. in Misenum? Nevermind, the code below closes the quest :
rs sd_debug_quest("q_babay", 100)
In order to get the XP you may use the following command :
rs ga_give_quest_xp("q_babay") _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
