Pretty self-explanatory, this is a mod that allows for sneak attacks and critical hits with Touch spells. Derived from Even's 3.5 PnP Settings module, but contains some additional functionality and math fixes.
I've almost gotten Touch attack modifier affecting feats implemented. The only way I am going to be able to finish this however, is if someone has an idea on how I am to calculate the Dodge AC or Dodge AC bonus on a target.
Hmmm, just wondering if there is a single source where I can learn about Touch Spells, sneak attacks, and critical hits or such.
I don't own an actual copy of the Complete Arcane, but I've been looking at it with Amazon's Search Inside function.
And it turns out your right about the existence of Weapon Focus (Ray) and Weapon Focus (Touch).
I'll have to look into this more later, and see what all of the feats that apply to touch attack spells actually are.
Oh and even if I did find learn which feats modify touch attack rolls, it would be difficult to implement as the controlling functions, TouchAttackRanged and ToucHAttackMelee, are not scripts, but a hardcoded part of the Aurora engine. Hopefully I'll be able to work around that.
Heh. Actually, it wouldn't. While not mentioned in the PHB, a number of weapon based feats (Focus, Improved Crit, Finesse, Point Blank, etc.) are given as possible feats for wizards to take, using two weapon categories: Ranged (includes rays and similar spells), and touch spells.
Note that I'm not actually asking you to implement them :)... just wondering if it is possible.
Haha i don't have any plans to implement something like that in the future. Such a thing would be optional at best as that is deviating faaaaaaaaaarrr from the 3.5e ruleset.
Another question. Would it likewise be possible to add the Weapon Focus and Improved Critical feats on rays (ranged touch attacks) to the game?
PS: Sorry to keep asking this stuff, but this sort of thing intrigues me :), and I think the two above feats would certainly be worthy picks for a Warlock, who has very few as of now.
Question: the readme states this affects 'all' warlock spells. Does this include the non-touch Eldritch Cone and Eldritch Doom variants? (I haven't looked into the coding of these things, so I'm not sure you could avoid that)
