Pirate Cards is the latest evolution of the Demon Cards game, a collectable card game suitable for single or multiplayer enjoyment.
The Full version includes music, voice acting, and high-resolution card images. The Lite version is suitable for modem users and does not include any music or voice and the card images are lower resolution.
The executable is an installer, which places the files in all the different folders.
The 1.03 version fixes the issue with overriding a shared file (ingamegui.ini). Run the uninstaller first, which should remove the problem file. The new one uses new GUI scripting that were introduced with the 1.05 NWN2 patch.

Interesting idea, unfortunately the balance is not very good. Some cards - like Elven Defender - are heavily overpowered. Add to that the quirks of the engine and the tendency of the AI to kill itself with spells ...
Still, it's fun if you don't play against pure spell-caster or elven-set AIs. No idea about multiplayer.

Finally got a chance to play this module (although DW2).
A great little module with lots of replayability and an interesting (and so far, unique) take of NWN2 but not quite a "must have" (hence the vote).

spittingblaze, how can you vote a 10 for a module you admit you haven't played? It makes a mockery of the rating system and your vote should be removed. _________________________ Been a long day. I could use a drink.

This is by far the most unique use of the toolset I have ever seen. big 10 points for you. I only hope that you are planing on continuing to evolve this amazing concept. I have spent way to much time playing this game and i want more players and more expansion packs! Wait, not want, need.

Congratulations. This module is a finalist in the Most Replayable Category for the 2007 Golden Dragon Awards. _________________________ Works of B G P Hughes: Link
Idiotic question; is there a rulebook somewhere or something? I mean, I know how MtG works, but how do I target spells in this, or get my creatures to block? I haven't yet figured out how to do anything except play land car-, err focus gems, summon creatures and have them charge at my opponents avatar to beat them up.

Addictive but in a good way. :) I would have just gone 9 or so, initially, because it was your Demon Cards that actually broke the ground, but I'm reacting to some earlier inexplicably low ratings.

Hi Marx.
"can't get the song outta my head anymore ;) by whom is it?"
My wife and I co-wrote the songs in the module. Our band is called "Misses & Mystery." We wrote a bunch of "tavern songs" for the Dark Waters series, most of which will start showing up in the second module.

Congrats at your great piece of work, very good game. It crashed 3 times for me now :( but still very good.

This card game is absolutely amazing, the game is addictive and fun to play. Unfortunately, the game seems unstable and crashes easily. Otherwise it is a masterpiece.

A great masterpiece! The detail and time that went into this project is astounding. Great job, there are a few small flaws, but Nothing thats too major. I do notice at times that some cards, will get 'stuck' behind any archers I have already in play. Also I have tried every thing I can think of along with my friends to sacrafice a card, and it escapes me completely. I would have thought to just click the lil sword button would do it but I got no results from that. I know it's working because I see the NPC players use sacrafice, but us human players have no clue how todo it... and there is no documentation on that. Also we have noticed that while more then one game is being played at a given time, there is a chance that cards that should be added to your deck each round either don't or you get to many. All in all those problems were minor and we have played for many hours to notice these issues. I gave this a 9 because its great, Ill up it to a 10 when it's bug free. Keep up the good work, cheers! _________________________ Shadow Mountain & Shadow Mountain 2: Riparia Link
It might be a good idea to include installation instructions for those using the manual install. Where exactly does the .ico file go? _________________________ Nemo non Morior Anime Overviews MP3 Player Playlist

No flaws, no nothing. The module is simple while providing lots of fun.
I would basically have given a 8.50, but I played Demon and the first version, and it's like a long lasting love.

Phenomenal work. I love this every bit as much as I loved Demon Cards.
The music is fantastic as well.

not sure if I voted am now. Only things I would seek to change is decrease scripts and easier ability to put into a PW. Though all the hard work is already done, pretty cool and addictive. _________________________ I blame god for everything right in my life. -ME.

I am all for a separate category for mods like this, and for trainer mods. Its definitely worth a hard look for someone not looking for a traditional module to play through. But someone who downloads this, and is looking for a 'standard' nwn/nwn2 experience, is going to be like 'what'? Many people probably just click on the first few highest rated mods without bothering to read the descriptions.
So lets get another category going! Then this can have the 9.5 it deserves!

This is a tough module to vote-on - simply because it is not really a story-based module.
It deserves a 10 for scripting and conversion.
It deserves an 8 or 9 for playability and interest.
It deserves a 4 or 5 for originality (it is basically Magic the Gathering)
It deserves a 1 for story - as there really isn\'t one.
I don\'t think this module should necessarily be in this category - but since it is, and a lot of people won\'t \'get\' it - my vote of 6.

I don't remember if I voted on this or not - but I played this again for a while last night - this is the most original mod I've ever played. An absolute blast. Everyone should try this. _________________________ Jackyo [email protected]
I would love to interview, but as a Mac user, we don't have NWN2. This is actually my first correspondance with anything on the 2 section of the vault.
Perhaps the vault needs to find another interviewer. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
