Description
A year after the Second War of Shadows you, a lone adventurer, find yourself passing through the Mere of Dead Men when you are stranded at the tiny riverside village of Willowbow. The ferry that transports merchants and travelers up river to the village of Cobblelich, and the road that leads out of the swamp, has gone missing and it is up to you to discover why so you can continue your journey.

For 1-4 Players Level 4-6.

Tips:
Talk to Hal Willowbow to start the main Quest.
Check the Lost & Found Wardrobes for useful starter items.
This module uses the same K.O. and Death scripts as the Official Campaign. No respawning!
Not every fight is necessary. Choose your battles carefully!

---
This is my first attempt at building a module and this one was constructed as a way to teach myself how to use the toolset. I may expand many of the roleplay and side quest options in the future, but now that I'm proficient with the toolset I'd like to move on to other projects.

I hope you enjoy it :)

Overall a good and enjoyable short module! I am trying to play one character through a continuous series of community modules from the Vault, and your module fit nicely in the progression. I would echo the (constructive) criticism that the loot through out the module has probably twice as many magic items as it should unless players like a "Monty Haul" feeling. However, I think I'll let my character keep the items and gold as they go into the next module that I am subjecting them to. LOL. The second point was another one that has already been mentioned and that is the sparse NPC dialog. However, it's a short module, not a grand campaign, so I wasn't looking for OC-level relationships with my party NPCs. I enjoyed the final battle at the church. Luckily I did not storm in and instead fought in the doorway. We were getting out butts kicked, so luckily I was able to slam the door shut and the bad guys didn't open it up. I was able to heal myself and Cassandra up and open the door again to finish the fight (the Ranger had fallen dead inside the doorway unfortunately). It was an exciting and hairy battle, as were a couple of the earlier combats, so I enjoyed it from the perspective of actually being concerned that I would lose a fight - a feeling I seldom got in the NWN2 OC. Thanks for a very solid effort. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Enjoyable module and interesting side stories on the area. I was looking for something light and this suited me just fine. Thanks for the fun.

I enjoyed the Mod. Played a FT/Rouge, I might Play this again as a Wizard or Druid.

Nice small and solid module.

Tried this as a single player. Best in the module were the swamp areas and some tactical battles (the final fight had an exciting feeling). In caves it would be nice to have a torch. Character desing is good but the module doesn't have enough story to get to know them (some villains have interesting juornal entries but are mainly just exp machines). Overall nice little hack n' slash module. _________________________ A good module author is PAG: Patient, Ambitious and Gutsy.

I really liked this module, no complaints. The setting, story and characters were very good. The encounters were well scaled, the big battles almost killed you. If you like your charcter trudging through the swamp then you'll enjoy this.

The mod was completely stable and bug-less with patch 1.6, apart from one minor graphical glitch, where a short stretch of road behaved like a swamp. Skill usage - no crafting, no dialog, some locks and traps. It is a hack-and slash mod and clearly geared for multi-player more than a single-player. One wanders a nicely crafted swamp, enters generic caves and ruins and battles monsters. The loot is usually on the boss monster or in a chest in it's area. There are some nicely modified items with interesting effects, but generally there is just so much loot that one has to return to the starting areas and sell it after clearing each and every dungeon. I really regretted not playing a high-Str character. If the monsters are supposed to be intelligent, there is a note somewhere explaining their presence. Fights with humanoid monsters and undead can be somewhat challenging, animals are just a slog. Which is a really big negative for a module, which is clearly geared for combat exclusively, IMHO. If fighting is mostly boring, then what is left? The mod seems to have non-OC music and at least some sound effects appear to be modified, which must be a boon for people who were bored with the re-use of these assets from NwN. And it can be played in multiplayer, which gets it some brownie-points, too.

Good, Qualified Recommendation.

This was a great little module. Another perfect one play when recovering from an epic module. The characters were great and well balanced for the adventure. I liked the story, simple and direct but focussed. SPOILERS PROS: Just about everything was right for this module; nothing amazing nothing bad just right. I really liked the ranger's armor; it fit the character. CONS: The final battle seemed rushed and too close to the temple's door. I would also put more dialog in there to create a bit more back story. Overall, a module to recommend to anyone taking a break from an epic and wanting a fun adventure. Good job Saorsa; I'll watch for your future modules. _________________________ "You take a look around and you see that the law is there only to protect power. Using Review guildelines: Gameplay (7.0): Pros: Good pacing, room to breath, Cons: limitless resting reuced the challenge. Storytelling (7.0): Pros: Solid story, well written dialogue. Cons: Too few journal entries remove direction. Atmosphere (8.5): Pros: Atmospheric sound well woven, good looking swamp area. Roleplaying (5.5): Cons: lack of choice, few dialogue options, no skill checks (but note listed as roleplay light) Action (8.0): Pros: starts easy but gets significantly more challenging. Some fun fights. Cons: No really tactical battles. Polish (7.0): Pros: module plays well in multiplayer Cons: Variable issues mean you can get the wrong journal entry or conversation (Clarissa's quest for example even if you don't take her). Journal entries few and far between. No clear end. Fun: (7.0) Overall score: 6.9 _________________________ Works of B G P Hughes: Link AME Chairman
