Well, the idea is kind of neat for a side trek or starting adventure. But unfortunately, that's about it.
- bleak area design
- poor English (punctuation is your... enemy?)
- total railroading (that means the ending, mostly)
- loot a little high for a L1 adventure
I'm not going to vote for your mod, because I don't think it's fair to compare it to the larger mods out there.
It was a fun diversion. You have applied some of the basics (which aren't that easy to learn) and everything works. Area design was a bit too sparse, you might want to work on that in your next project. Combat was simple but fun. As soon as I hit level 2 it got a bit too easy, but that's low-level adventuring for you. Good effort, keep at it. _________________________ Howls in the Dark The Chronicles of Azealus 1: The Tower in the Marsh Rasvar's module development blog

It's rated so low because it's not a very good module. Even the person who wrote it admits to that. It's not meant to be a good module, it's meant to be an example of how to do certain things in the toolset. That said, I'm voting 4: Some merit, because as an example of things you can do with the toolset it's rather useful. It's otherwise rather naff though. :D

Heh, it's not that bad. At least the little there is to it works. Score of 2 is mainly for "worth people's download" factor.

Why is this module rated so low? I realize it's not overly developed and rather simple but it's still a nice, well-scaled little encounter for a 1st lvl character. You finish with a good bag of experience, treasure and fun. Realistically, I'd say a 7 is a generous vote but I went with the 10 to counteract the fools who gave this a 1.

Well, not much to add. It would be nice if player had a choise about taking advantice of damsell-in-distress. I'm quite sure that, for example, a paladin wouldn't do that (although I didn't try this with female).
I also agree that this should be adult, not extreme. If I have understood correctly extreme content requires visual action. _________________________ A good module author is PAG: Patient, Ambitious and Gutsy.

first of all: congratulations on getting your first module done!
alright, there is not much quality in it and also the ending is *very* predictable, but i hope you learnt some basic stuff for potential creations in the future. _________________________ A Bet, A Corpse A Corpse, A Vote
Thanks for all the comments. It deserves a low score. I posted this up because I learnt quite a lot of module making during the process. I hope other beginners could have a look if they wish. It did show some techinques, e.g NPC making, trigger conservation, area transtion, key making, how to recruit/discard companion, journal entry, sound, music, fog, static camera, placable collision, custom encounters, etc.
So if you are interested to see those techniques in a compact module then try this one. If you want a "playable" module then just ignore it.

I've decided to vote on this one. This is a low score, not as low as it could have been, but I'm glad you've made an effort, put it out there, and seem to want to improve your craft.
Aside from the lack of area detials I felt that the bandits should have heard the fighting going on and come after my character right away. My character would not have survived that many attacks. This left me thinking there should be few bandits, with only three fights, including the boss fight. Or you could include some role-playing options to allow for the player to join up with the bandits to get inside and get them some other way. Would just depend on what you want to do as a builder.
I also decided to play this module with a female character but I did not see this taken into account by the npcs.

Hahah! Right... well... that was kinda pants :P
But keep up the good work, you probably shouldn't release your first module ever, but I'm sure if you spend some more time on the next one, you can do better ; ) _________________________ Jonas Wæver Link

I won't make this too lengthy, as obviously you're aware that it isn't an amazing module - but you do have the basics down and, once you get more familiar it's a guarantee that you'll produce something more pleasing to play. Just stick with it.
Don't take the 1.00 score as an insult - I wasn't going to vote, but for the ease of people searching to find a module worth their download (and for some people even 3MB is a big download), I chose to vote accordingly.
But I have to say, the ending make me giggle like a schoolgirl - volume up high + 4:30 in the morning + moaning sounds had me rolling in stitches... luckily nobody woke up.

Very simple Mod, with a simple quest that goes straight to the point. The cameo was a nice touch and the same can be said about the final description - actually I wouldn't consider it *adult* content, but I know there are some who would.
But the areas are really too simple... it feels totally artificial.
This lack of atmosphere doesn't prevent us from playing, but some more meat would be welcome: a real village, some more NPCs and so on...
Still, one cannot demand too much from a first effort, and the author's description is pretty clear about the whole thing.
