This is a modification for NWN2-MotB that allows to take Bishop�s soul out of the Wall and recover it; to revive Bishop and add him to your party. You can modify the influence over the ranger, talk with him and the like in the same way as with existing companions. You can be any-aligned, male or female. A female character can romance him. All new subplots are fully integrated in the main story line.

- some new quests;
- two new locations (not great);
- two new personal feats for PC;
- a chance to revive Bishop and add him to your party;
- dialogues with Bishop, his answer to the existing events, expansions to the existing dialogues, relations with other companions;
- the romantic cutscene;
- a new NPC;
- Bishop�s part in the final battle and the endings;

Installation:
This mod is designed to work with NWN2-MotB with or without SoZ. The mod does not modify any original MotB files but campaign.cam and module.jrl. The installer saves theirs as campaign.cam.bak and module.jrl.bak. The "install.txt" and "install_engl.txt" files can be found in the DarkSoul package, they explain the installation/uninstallation in detail. (The "Manual Uninstallation" section informs about locations of all fragments of the mod.)
The mod will be incompatible with any other mod using the same files, modifying the MotB campaign, adding new feats or spells.
Unzip the DarkSoul.zip file into a directory of your choice. It should contain the following items:

unDS30.bat (to uninstall)

Rogue Dao - Lip Flappers v1.0 were used for the facial animations during the conversations.
Russian dialog.tlk by [rus] was used as a base for the mod text content.

V3.1 Russian, English (2010- Jun): Minor bug fixing; some corrections of the Russian dialog.tlk about soul numbers; correction of the influence balance. Also, Bishop's couple of phrases in the conversation with Shelvedar were added.

Sorry to spam the wall. I definitely figured out how to get his body (for anyone else confused, before you say you forgive the Founder, ask her some questions) only now the portal to the Shadow Veil has bugged. There were no issues with this mod unstalled up until the Boneyard and here on out. I am trying a fresh install of the game and mod, and hopefully it will work. If not, I don't think I'll be able to play it... If I can finish it, however, I will be sure to vote.
Well I was able to teleport into Act 3, but somehow I have lost my Chaos feat. I still have Bishop's soul, so I'm not sure if that feat is important but... when I talk to the Founder, there's no option to ask about Bishop, and there's nothing in the room that relates to him. What am I missing?
Has anyone had an issue where, after you talk to Myrkul, you try to click the portal to the Founder's Sanctum and start Act 3... but it bugs, leaving you standing where you are and unable to click anything? The only thing I can think that is causing an issue is this mod, and I've tried googling it to no avail. Any insight would be much appreciated. I have been waiting for this moment so I can revive Bishop... the game is not the same without him and I'm really excited about this mod.

yo so i got bishop's soul housing now how do i get him out :/ it wont show my quest info in my journal
Hey, I have some problem. I'm in They, in Academy. I did a quest with those maphitis, took fragmented soul, "fixed" fragmented soul. In the Readme it says that I get a new feat after fixing fragmented soul. But I don't have any new ability. HELP!

Oh my word! I am having so much trouble with Mask of the Betrayer Expansion: Dark Soul. I use steam. I have been trying for a week to get it working. It wont work! I have followed all the directions exactly. I have even uninstall and re installed the game several times. I am so frustrated. any one else have this problem? I love Bishop and I don't enjoy the game without him. *pulls hair out* Is anyone able to help me?
I can't seem to take Bishop with me out to the Prime without dying. Do I have to have 100 in my soul meter thing? I have 70 and it's 40 to leave. As soon as I leave and end up on the field, I die.
ý dont know why but ý am not getting the option try to take out bishops soul.

ý know that ý must touch the soul again after the main speech and another demon will come and ý will find the emty soul housing on it and ý must have the option but no result. please someone help me :(

I gave this a shot during my 3rd run through the OC. I had some troubles installing but managed to work it out in the end. Strangely enough a few conversation choices stayed "empty" while others were there. I didn't get my influence with Bishop high enough, so he left me at the Betrayer's Gate, so I can't comment on his role in the finale. All in all very good work.
i installed this a couple days ago, and i have gotten him to loyalty. I am up to the part in the tunnel collapse, but for osme reason the romance cutscene don't load when we leave, and he gets kicked from party. is this a bug or something. he is on 64 loyalty please help
I'ma having same problem like tea_mitch. I have the latest patch too. I solved the mephits, used fragmeted soul. Then it says "New Spirit Eater feat Accquiered: bad strref" whitch leads me to think that there must be something missing and there is no new ability for me to use. I already reinstalled game + dark soul few times but I still get this. I even went to get nwn2 editor to look if I can add this feat there but it's not there either. Any ideas? I would really appreciate help. Thanks

tea_mitch, After finishing the quest with mephits you should take the soul in the next room (where the quest had been given) and use it on yourself. Then the ability must appear.
zaies, do you play with English or Russian .tlk? Maybe you should install some fonts.

I love this mod!!! but I have some problems and I can´t enjoy it completely, in some dialogues: when you ask about your companions to the Fundator; you ask bishop about your former companions and some more, the dialogue doesn´t appear and you read something like:" , ?" So I select them without any idea of what I´m saying.
I´ve checked all the files of Dark soul, included de dialogue.tlk and everything is correct. My game version coincides with the mod´s one. I don´t now if someone have had this problem...plz help!!!!!

one problem, though. recently I installed windows 7 ultimate on my laptop and I had to install nwn2 again. I installed motb exp and I have the latest update. (1.23) then I installed DS module and everything was going perfectly. After I took Bishop's soul out of the Wall I went to Academy. I finished the 'order out of chaos' with mephits without killing them or destroying obelisks, but I didn't receive the new feat. I thought 'hey, that happened before, I'll just do it again and everything will be fine.' But it wasn't. so I tryed it again. and again. still nothing. I tryed reinstalling module, and again and again. then I reinstalled the module again. then five more times and still nothing. I never had trouble while I was playing on windows xp, but maybe I did something wrong. Ever encoutered this problem? I'd really appreciate if someone can help me :/

so, played it before and I just love this module! the game isn't teh ssame without Bishop :D
I have a question. Is this a problem, when I want to install Dark Soul into polish version of NWN2 MotB ? Because when I want to play, there is only one campaign (official) and second is...strange camapaign, with different opening than it should be in official MotB.

To JMalkavian thank you soo much for your information I will try it out and see if I can get it to work...now I got him to loyal before but I never got the end scene where your supposed to be in Ruathym talking to him...is there something special to get that or maybe I have a glitch....hmm again your help is greatly appreciated. =)

To Kiya2123 the way I got Bishops soul was that when I was in the dreamscape with Gann and at the wall after its over you should go back to the wall and click on Bishop you should then be able to fight to get his soul out of the wall. After that another Pit Fiend will appear fight and kill it and on the body there will be a soul housing. Take the soul housing and go to the body of Bishop and his soul will be sucked into it. If you need help after that just let me know.

I'm sorry for the probably idiot question, but I'm stuck and I really want to play this mod, does anybody knows what do I have to do when I'm in the wall of the faithless? Because judging by what I have seen and read, I thought that I was suppose to retrive Bishop's soul from the wall at this point, but I have no clue how. :S

OK one of many NEG aura works.
Malar anointing doesn't{my guess it's broken because of the urfin/cave/romance quest}and the malar blood is not triggering.
@phoenixdawn23 there is a glitch for Bishop influence if you do the treeman and keep that bitchy witch alive (forget name} then talk to the two witches in mulsantir until they leave,BUT don't do the spy letter until after they leave, then do it and tell the merchant/spy you want 5000 gold He'll say he hasn't got it, tell him it's not good enough and the conversation should break then just talk to him again...each time you talk to to him you should get more influence with Bishop...It's easy to get 150 influence.I think You can do the romance after this although shouldn't be necessary...only needs loyal.
It seems Gingery likes the good path otherwise the malar quest would work and I so wanted to be anointed in blood and do the complete evil route, and I don't think you can kill Bishop although you can sell his soul.

Okay so where can you get Bishops influence higher? I only had two conversations with him that got me up to 27 but nothing after that...hmm guess I wil just have to reload over and over to get the highest one!lol if anyone knows different let me know =0) thanks

I have a problem, love the add on, great job with translation got to the founder but no body of Bishop *sigh* is there a specific dialouge path I need to take to talk to her about getting his body? I would LOOOVVEE the help, I need my dose of Bishop i this game! =) thanks

First of all thanks alot for creating this mod, the game just isn't the same without Bishop =)
But right now I've got a problem: I managed to get Bishop's body out of the wall, but now it's just lying ther on the ground and I can't get his soul out. I keep bashing it, but somehow it just doesn't seem to work. What do I have to do to get his soul?
