This demonstrates progress I've made in formations for NWN2. This means you don't get your own party members pushing each other out of the way to get to you, or being cumbersome to protect certain party members in and out of battles.
The framework is still progressing, even if the code is there its not in any easy to use state yet (and the leader must always be the PC), so suggestions on this and other AI-related things are very much welcome at my AI guild - Link
The creature formations will hopefully be applicable to all types of things, such as NPC squads of troops, NPC adventuring parties, and setting up groups of your own party which can act upon separate automated orders (like defending a point, or ambushing the enemy), rather then a PC being led to believe that NPC's are simply there to follow like sheep. :)
I'll try and demo some more interesting things when I finish them.
Download is an AVI XVid or DivX file and might need the latest codec download to view them. They are both the same video.
Well, I guess it could simply project coloured circles on the positions for PC parties...so they know how they should stand, when the leader orders a formation.
But then again this is problably a NPC-party-only thing.
