This mod lets players add characters of their own choosing to any module that uses the standard party roster. In other words, you can create your own party.

Simply awesome!

This is the best mod I've ever used for this game. Your map also works as an area teleporter which cuts out all the crazy running around (don't know if you intended that or not). Excellent!
top ace your lucky, this mod doesn't want me to multi class at all, which is weird, because multiclassing worked in other mods, i cant figure out whats wrong. anyone?
I've got a problem. When I try to add a companion by clicking on Party Rooster button, game crashes to desktop. I'm using an italian version of nwn2, though I don't think this is the issue...Does someone can help? thanks

Brilliant - your little mod alone makes NWN2 twice the game it was

Takes some playing around with but can't be beat. With the additional use of an editor, you can play with all the OC companions (or maybe just Neeshka) from lvl 1 on in other adventures or keep Andre the pig throughout an adventuring career.
Games like the OC which play with the roster permissions can make this do strange things (try to avoid adding database to roster more than once).
I try to keep things clean by having a seperate "roster-by-level storage folder" which I move the database in and out of depending on what I'm doing and adding DB to roster only once at the start of a game -- starting a new database for each level. Kind of a pain but prevents cloning and keeps your options open.
Would give this a 10 if I could continue to "select" my companions after saving them to the DB without having to save and reload before continuing.
An excellent beta and I would love to see work on this continued.
I'm sorry... I think the answer is yes, but can someone verify whether or not this works with MOTB? I can't get it to work, and it's crashing all over the place (tried emptying my override folder except for this, and also deleting my database folder).
I guess I'm just a dummy but I can't get the thing to work at all. I put it in my Override folder and during the game the options of saving and adding characters to the database shows up but nobody new is ever in my roster, no matter when I save the characters or when I bring up the roster. I only bought the game to use this mod and play it as an old school customized party RPG and would prefer not to have to wait until Zehir is out. Can anyone provide some more in depth instructions for mod-ignorant casual gamers?

Nice tool. But my companions don´t follow me when I move, I have to ask him every time I change of scenario. Is it normal? Is there any solution for this little problem?

I don't know, since I have the english version installed.
Usually such mods work, but give english texts when messages of the mod are concerned. The Rest of your Game should stay german.
When errors appear, just delete the files in the override-folder and the one file that is created by the mod in the Database-Folder. Only some empty lines in the "eye-menu" might remain (happens to me when I use a clean override for some modules).
You can always reinstall the game if it doesen't work as intended :)
when preparing for a module:
1.erase database to start fresh
2.get all characters to proper level and place in database.
3.at the end of each campaign chapter save each companion to the database.
4.at the start of next chapter load database into roster and into party.
remember if your party is above a limit, then you need to run the limit change script again
`
DebugMode 1
rs ga_party_limit(##)
DebugMode 0
`
where ## is number of companions.
in the OC it's chapters, in other campaigns it may be modules, in modules w/o campaigns [seaside, midpoint, etc] use it for modules.

Lariam,
I believe you would just need to save those charatcers at the end of the module to the database. Just click on each one so that it is the Active character, bring up the menu, and sve to DB.
It worked for the OC party I had, and then brought them into MotB.
This seems great, but I have a question: If one creates a party for some module, can one, then, at the end of that module, export all the characters that one has used (and thus continue with them in whatever mods one wishes to, later on)?
I'm thinking of posting a slight mod on this: the playermenupopup wouldn't show the mode, options, quickcast etc after adding Universal Companions - which I love - so I edited that file and moved them up the tree and now all works fine. I had to renumber entries.

Simply fantastic...however, is anyone in contact with the author? Will this be updated ever again? Can someone with more knowledge than I take over the reigns? I would love to see this become more fully featured with less bugs. Great work though, takes me back to the Gold Box days.

Been using this mod for a while now, makes the game a lot more enjoyable since I can never make up my mind on one character build.
Quick observation/problem. On certain occasions when I add characters to the roster it loads ALL of the characters into the game as NPCs. It didn't happen so much in the OC but in MotB, I have a group of about 20 NPCs (duplicates of the same 5 or 6 characters) standing at the edge of the Mulsantir Gate map (where the Imaskari Golem remains are).
It was real difficult to complete the events at the end of chapter one because all those characters want to get involved and crash the game.

I want to upgrade my vote if I can.

Phenomenal. This completely changed the game for me and reinvigorated NWN2.
Is there a limit to how many party members you can have in your party roster? Also, how do I remove a party member that's in the roster should I decide I don't want him/her in there anymore?

This is one of the most fun things yet for using companions. Thanks!

This is really a great addition to the game. _________________________ Failure is not an option

Well it seems if you exit the game and restart, the character entry in the roster updates so I don't know.

How do you delete a character from the roster? For some reason I can't update my character in the database, so what I am trying to do is delete the character from the party roster then save fresh. I can remove him from the database no problem, but that doesn't remove him from the roster. Until I can remove him from the roster I can't update. Anybody know a fix? Thanks!
