For use with NWN2 or Mask of the Betrayer or Storm of Zehir expansion
Will work with all Patches!
Introduction:
The NWN2 Add-on Mask of the Betrayer modified the Warlock Outfit.
Namely, that all parts of the armor that show skin were painted over with a dark brown color.
Without the expansion installed, parts of the Warlock Outfit would show skin.
This is most notable with female Warlocks and the new prestige class Stormlord
(Which use the Warlock Outfit as template).
Open "_Warlock Outfit Difference.jpg" that I included to see the difference.
The reason why Obsidian did that as I see it is.
They are lazy. :-)
With the introduction of the new sub-races Wild-Elf, Half-Drow,
and Genasi's they changed the way in which skin color works.
The new sub-races now all have a base skin color. That cannot be altered.
Instead, you pick a "Highlight" skin color that is shaded over their base skin color
It works like hair color, where you pick a general color and than a "Highlight Color".
The matter is they implanted this new system only for the heads of the new sub-races.
The "old" races and rest of the body of the new sub-races are still based on the old system.
This cause the new sub-races look funny,
when wearing armor that shows "skin" like Warlock Outfit.
Because the color that you have picked as "Highlight" skin tone will be used as
base color for the entire body except of course the head.
Open "_Warlock Outfit New Subraces.jpg" that I included to see what I mean.
So instead, to apply this new cool looking skin tone system for all races and all body parts,
and make it work with "Warlock Outfit" they just painter over the skin showing parts.
Because of that, there will be differences in color shading, if you wear a armor that show "naked skin"
using the new sub-races.
This Fix revert the "Warlock Outfit" for females and males back, to what it was.
I am looking foward to see the new system implanted for all races and body parts by Obsidian,
or more likely by a User. ;-)
Installation:
Extract the folder to your Override folder in
"$:\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2"
Your Signature isn't bad either. Had a good laugh here. :p

The rating says ALL (look at the bottomof page).
"This game just keeps getting worse and worse every time Obs makes a design descision..."(Arminath).
I totally agree. My toolset can't even show item properties now with SOZ installed.
And all campains(including SOZ)have more bugs than my warlock has on his tentacilous plague invocation.
And this kind of sencoring makes no one happy.
Thanks Shockwolf, at least one is with me ;D
If it where really for ESRB Reason why did they pained over the "male" version of the Warlock armor too? I mean I know some sort of people are generally offended by woman, but how is offended by a male upper arm

As I understand it, it was due to an ESRB re-evaluation.
That being said, this topic is now off limits.
Further discussions will be locked.
Yeah sure, lets sweep it under the carpet quick then shall we? Rob says stop talking about it!
When it comes to my opinion then Im with you Dragoon and if others want to believe everything that an Assistant Producer says well, thats fine too I guess. I mean if Obsidian were simply lazy about fixing the skin issue then Im sure Rob wouldnt hesitate to admit that to the public now would he? >;-D

Censorship, I see...well. You have my vote.

It doesn't quite flow on from the head but it's really neat to see areas of bright colourful skin all the way down contrasting with the leather. Good one!
If we could create PC versions of "female Demon "Succubus" and female Devil "Erinyes" you better believe Hasbro would have handed down an ultimatum.
You could go do some research about them buying WoTC and things that have occurred since then before blaming devs who have no control over that.
Don't forget Atari may have had a hand in it instead, they even have a family ethics and gaming listing on the website trying to appeal to the masses, improve image etc.
While you are entitled to your opinion, it was due to ESRB rating per Rob.
Also don't worry, if there is another expansion I'm sure anything else that needs to be "cleaned up" will be caught and um...cleaned up. Atari and Hasbro have reps to maintain ya know.
Although we all know chainmail bikinis sell much better than full Nun Habits. Whatever.
I do not think the reason Obsidian changed the Warlock Outfit were due to moral factors.
NWN 2 has already a teen rating and the Outfit is part of the original game.
It would have no negative effect on the rating of expansion MotB.
Beside the Warlock Outfit is the only one that had been changed to show no "skin".
All other Textures were left alone and there are many Outfits that show much more than the Warlock Outfit.
You can either play the game or easier use the Creature Appearance Wizard of the Toolset to see for your self.
Let us look at some creatures.
Githyanki and Githzerai are unchanged and they are wearing bands and ties as armor. Sure, they do not look very human but...
Then there is the female Demon "Succubus" and female Devil "Erinyes" or the female version of a Vampire.
For God's sake, nothing can top the Succubus. A Demon, that looks like a naked girl, just wearing some rags.
And that is good, because Succubus's are for males what candles are for moths. They attract you, but burn you, if you got too close.
Therefore, if the reason for the changes to the Warlock Outfit had been "Censorship" they had repainted allots more textures than just this one.
Besides it barley explain why also the male version had be repaint, since it show a bit of arm and torso. Nobody would be offended by that.
Nevertheless, it fits in my assumption that is due to save work.
Instead, to extend the new system for the skin color to whole body, the developers did it only for the heads and only for the new sub-races. Take a look at the screenshots that I have posted and are included with the download.
Oh, you can even check it out without my fix if you have MotB installed. Because there is a 3rd Armor that also show skin and the player have access to in an unmodified game.
The Arcane Archer Outfit. The right elbow is uncovered.
As example, create a new character. Pick on of the new sub-races. For this example let use a take a female Air Genasi, since I find them quite cute looking. Their base skin color is a dark blue. To see the effect at best we pick a color that differs strong from the base colors. I use Ocher. Now let use switch to the next screen to pick our character class.
Select Arcane Archer and dada your right elbows has a different color than your face.
I recommend you to install my Warlock Outfit fix even when you are not planning to play a warlock.
However, to create a new character using one of the new sub-races.
That way you can already during the creation see how your character would look like by picking the warlock class. If you use some custom clothing that show skin, like Aleanne's Female Clothing Packs here offered at the Vault. By this opportunity, I highly recommended.
Or you could later annoyed when you notice that your character looks like a clown.

Exactly what I thought too. Another GTA "Coffee" situation, but then I noticed their new color system for skins.
Check out he screenshots.
Anyway it is arguable what is worse. A questionable morale or laziness.
But it wouldn't be fair I not say that I like their new way for skin color. Looks good, just lacking support for the entire body except neck and head. :-)
