This PDF gives a step by step guide on how to alter a .2da in the Toolset so that your Wizard and Sorcerer PC can have unlimited spellcasting without the need of rest, custom rings or clothing.

8 becose I can recomed this to Anyone even to my granmother it's SO simple and unterstandable
All should notice that this affects all other wizard's too (or what ever class you used it on).
For those how don't want to do this radical chances or think this isn't enought(LOL):
You can use the toolset to adjust Spell Slots and Charges.
just look at the "cls_spgn_X" files (X = your spell caster class).
OR
"cls_spkn_X" for spells you gain att levering.

Oh, and to clear up the confusion that some people seem to have, this will have no effect on anything you do online. When online, the server's override files are used. Feel free to edit your own game and make your single player experience whatever you feel it should be, but you won't be able to bring your immense power to a persistent world.

5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable
This is literally worthless to anyone who wants to take the maximum of ten minutes and figure it out himself, but it seems you've garnered a large crowd who fit that bill. Because of this crowd, this small tutorial will at least help those people learn the basics of 2DA editing and hopefully interest them in learning more about how to modify their game.
Based on this, I can't imagine why anyone would have voted so low as 1. That guy was just being stupid, because this does happen to work and is something useful to certain people. However, the people who voted above 7 or 8 were equally being stupid and breaking the basic rules of voting. I'd really suggest to these people to read the fricking voting FAQ before voting like an idiot on things.

I figured this out myself, but it's excellent.
For those that don't like the Rest every 5 minutes, or micro manage spells, or for whatever reason it's a neat way to adjust your own personal gameplay.
I like the change in the use of spells and abilities in Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition, and though we may never see that ruleset for NWN2, this is a close substitute.

Being a german, I won't join in the tasteless debate about definitions of "Nazi" or whatev...
That being said, I will give this reference guide a considerably high vote, not out of spite for the 1's, but because it's solid, and a good idea for those that are inclined to use this.

I think its good, And yes it will be abused and cause all kinds of problems for RP. But i say GOOD!! RP nazis i hate them all lol. I remember a server called Siflage and they would punish you with jail or what ever for typing "lol" or short speak as they called it. Controlling how i act and what i say -->Definition= NAZI. So please use this 2da fix witch BTW is not original its been done a 100 times in the uber comunity in NWN1.
So good work man AND YES NAZI IS VERY APROPRIATE FOR "SOME" RP SERVERS. Some i go to they are nothing more then little snotty kids with there punk attitudes :D
BUT KEEP IN MIND. THERE ARE MANY RP SERVERS THAT ARE NICE AND FRIENDLY AND NOT ANAL!.

I'm not a fan of the mod in particular, however it does exactly what it says it does and I can understand why many others would enjoy it.
So, Nice job and hopefully the mod can be expanded later on to make it more... balanced with the unlimited spells?

Oh, I just noticed someone calling DnD enthusiasts "DnD Nazis". That is not only inappropriate, but sickening. DnD isn't anything but a game. We aren't going around yelling "Victory Warfare!" in german.
In other words, please abstain from using Nazi or any other insulting terms about people. please be civil whilst on the internet. Differences should be taken as "To each his own" and nothing more. _________________________ __________________________________________________
Megadeth has a very intelligent way of talking about governments and religions: Either they bullshit you or try to kill you for not being one of them. I wholeheartedly agree.

I, as both a DnD enthusiast and a gamer, think that this is an important step for a few varient rules-
1: if you modify all the spell scripts, this works wonderfully for a system where you have a set amount of mana, and this regenerates with time, instantly when resting.
2: with the same type of spell script modding, you could implement the cast cooldown varient above.
While this is a wonderful building point for those mentioned above, in the form it seems to be in now, all it does is guide a person towards making spellcasting classes much more powerful... with the exception of innate magic. This likely was a big contributer in the Spell points system out now which seems to be missing gradual regen of points. Thus, since it is an important part of work to make certain DnD varient rules work... I give thee a ten. _________________________ __________________________________________________

Anything that sheds light on new or alternate methods of play - long after I've completed the OC several times - is worthy in my book.
I haven't "discovered" UBER play yet (and probably won't) but I do like small tweaks to "semi-uber" classes and such. I have not really played with the Tool Set, but will give it a go and poke around the 2DA file (keeping backups, etc).
Thanks for the informative work, Deadevilgrounds.

Well done! When I bought NWN 2 I played the main campaign strictly by the 3.5 rule set. About a month later I got bored and created an uber character with a sword that had about 50 enhancements and just kinda walked through the campaign killing everything. I guess I swing both ways. I think it is a shame though that people would come here and give you a 1 just because they are mad at powergamers *sigh*. Definate 10.

I agree with Loudent about people voting on the low side. I'm a rules purist (the closer to the 3.5 PnP rules the better), so although I will never use this while playing the OC, it has it's merits. I have my own "Spell fixes and improvements" here on the vault, and when I'm testing my spell scripts in a test module, I use this so I don't run out of castings or have to constantly rest. Makes it a whole lot easier. For that, and the fact that it works like it's supposed to, I give it a big fat 10.
Vote based on how well it works, not on whether or not you agree with it.

This guide was well written, concise and to the point. While I may question the use the guide itself warrants an 8 or a 9. I'm giving him a 10.0 because it's clear that a number of people gave low scores based on some moral ground against using this and not the content itself.

Cleintanious? You voted here way earlier than my last comment? Wow, I like going where you go. It was nice you gave this a 7, though perhaps a 8 or 9 would be more fair as this is very original. _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)
