This worked for a long time for me, but the last couple of months I can't get it to go beyond "server is down" message. Any ideas?

Uso Joomla 1.0.11 y me ocurre lo mismo el server esta online y el modulo muestra Server down....¿alguna idea?

A quick test, can you run the php script itself and get a reply .. you can have various issues with firewalls and if you have a non-standard Joomla installation, but the php itself should run in iexplorer.

What I did notice. Is that it will make the fsockopen connection, but when the fread($connect, 5000) is isssued then I get Server is Down. Any ideas?? Something I need to do on the server side?

I don't use Joomla. But I modded your php script and I cannot figure out why it does not work. Any pointers? Here is the code.

I was wondering if the version of Joomla makes a difference. I can not get the module to go off of the "Server is Down" message. I've checked the IP and port manually and through gamespy to make sure I can login from the internet and all is fine. Any suggestions?

it is possible that you have allow_url_fopen disabled in your php.ini file on your webserver ...

I have tested it with your IP and it connects to your NWserver fine, so it seems the issue is in your webservers configuration...
