I put a little snippet of code into the companion heartbeat script to check if the companion doesnt have the same amount of XP as your main PC. If they are different, their XP is set to be the same as yours and a little message is displayed to let you know.
I use even's AI patch, so I used that heartbeat file. I went ahead and put it into the original script as well, but I havent tested it at all.
The .2da in the archive is the same as the one provided by Damos2, except that I have reset Qara's levelup package since there are weird errors with her, apparently.

Hi, is there any chance that you could make another version that is compatible with Tony_K's AI mod? He also uses a heartbeat file, just like even's AI mod.
I'll agree that it's an excellent mod. One question, though: How hard would it be to stop the game from levelling the characters up? So that when they join they're at level 1, but have the experience set so they can level up as *you* see fit. It'd be really nice to be able to pick Qara's spells or Shandra's feats, as examples.
Yeah, there is something strane with Qara where if you change her level-up package then she will be unable to cast spells. It must have something to do with her specific role in the OC. I haven't found a fix or specific reason why her multiclassing causes these problems, so if anyone has any ideas about how to work around it or what the nature of the prolem is, please let me know and I will do my best to make a work-around for it.

Till now i have found 5 companions.
Khelgar, Neeshka, Elanee and Qara.
This mod works well for everyone of them except Qara.
She can't be multiclassed.
