The creature creation wizard fills a much-needed gap in NWN2. It addresses some of the awkwardness of creating new creatures by providing a wizard that assists you in creating them from scratch:
Consolidates the essential elements needed for creating creatures
Automatically sets appearance based on selected (sub)race.
Allows partial preview of soundset
Allows extensive appearance customization
Auto-creates a tag and resref, and takes reasonable precautions to ensure a unique resref. Both can be changed as part of the creation process.
Allows you to choose up to four classes, and takes a best attempt at allocating skills, abilities, feats, and spells. The NWN2 rules engine is used for about 90% of this process. Each class can have its own associated package.
To encourage use of project standards, options now available for common variable/script sets and builder tag prefixes.
Allows you to adjust the ability scores before auto-assigning spells & skills, so that multi-classed NPCs don't run into issues with disallowed spells
Sets reasonable defaults for AI scripts, movement rate, and hit points.
Simple interface for choosing alignment and faction.
Provide simple spreadsheet-like interface for editing CR of all custom creatures
Lets you retain existing creature appearance by copying the appearance of another template
Calculates challenge rating automatically

Under the View menu, there is a new option Challenge Rating Editor. This gives the option of editing all custom creature CRs through a spreadsheet-like form.
The Appearance screen now lets you enter colors in HTML format (#RRGGBB), reducing dependency on the slow and painful-to-use color picker that comes with the toolset
Alignment page is simplified
When selecting an existing creature from the palette, launching the wizard will now give you the option of copying that creature's appearance settings when creating a new creature.
New preferences for fine-tuned control over how hit points are allocated.

@Marshall V - now that I'm finding a bit more time to return to NWN2 (having a kid really changes one's priorities :D) I hope to get some updates out. It won't be in the immediaet future, but hopefully before EOY. _________________________ The Grinning Fool The World of Khalidine, a unique RP PW.
Is there any chance that either this plugin or your usability tools plugin could have functionality expanded in the following way? I'd really love to be able to export some data from the Toolset to a spreadsheet forum--for example, creature blueprint names.
Having used this plugin to make hundreds of creature blueprints, I don't really have time to make a list of names by hand for documentation purposes.
Just checking to see whether that's something that could be a possibility.

Usefull little plug in, most defiantly a time saver _________________________ Midgardsaga - Link
so i like what i see. but i only see part of it. the wizard's text fields don't expand when i try to stretch the window. when i get to faction choice i can only see the top half of the text and no matter what i do it won't expand the field. It's not really a problem until i try to customize appearances. and maybe it's just my rig but usability tools fails to launch every time.

Boozehound - thanks, I'll take a look for next update _________________________ The Grinning Fool The World of Khalidine, a unique RP PW.
I'm having trouble with the display of some elements being partially displayed, un-selectable or altogether hidden. It's as though not enough space was allotted for certain objects or groups. Example: can't enter category, or see/select module blueprint type. Don't think I had this problem with 1.22 on my new display (1920x1080), fwiw.

1.23 updates momentarily.
@Necaradin - probably just habit, born in my AD&D days ;) I'll see if I can get that updated soon - but not in this initial 1.23 update, as I'm packaging that now. _________________________ The Grinning Fool The World of Khalidine, a unique RP PW.
It's a tiny bit annoying to have the stats listed in a different order than the game or toolset. any reason dexterity isn't second down from strength etc? _________________________ I'd rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

GF, the plugin was compiled at 1.22.1586 I believe they released a hotfix shortly after and the current version is 1.22.1587. They kinda snuck that one in.

Updated for 1.22. Note that I wasn't able to set the patch level to 1.22 since it's not in the list :)

I created a few creatures with the Nov. 23rd release, problem is the creatures don't leave a body bag, and I can't get rid of the corpse, they add up real quick. Had an entire area filled with Troll corps's can you immagine the smell?

Arg! Comment spam! fkirenicus, I think I see where the problem you're referring to is occurring. Not sure yet if I can fix it, but I'll shoot you a PM on the bioboards if I can (and post the fix here :) _________________________ The Grinning Fool The World of Khalidine, a unique RP PW.

EC - it is still in the plans to add the ability to edit existing creatures, but I'm hoping to lobby Obsidian to add one new field (current level up package) to the creature definition that will make it a lot cleaner to do so :) _________________________ The Grinning Fool The World of Khalidine, a unique RP PW.

fkirenicus - I'll take a look, I know there are other toolset issues associated with "," vs ".".
Nase - I'm sorry, I only keep available a version for the current patch, and one previous patch.
