unfortunately some developers stopped maintaining their plugins, rendering them useless after the next patch. even more unfortunately there are no sources either.
so i took the liberty to recompile some of the plugins from the dll-files, thus updating the plugins to recent patches.
the RePlug package now contains:
i also added the sources, so you can recompile the plugins yourself whenever you like.
(*) NWN2Mapper
... does not work well with MOTB addon. thankfully Sothis B took my recompiled code and fixed it. you can find the latest versions here: Link

latest versions can now be found here:

1. install vb, download source, unzip it.
2. in vb open the "RDRItemCreationWizard.sln" solution, this solution contains two projects (control libray and the plugin itself) and documentation.
3. open the references listing of both projects, and look what libraries are not found (they'll be marked by an exclamation mark). remove them and instead add the correct libraries from your nwn2 installation.
4. from the menu select "compile solution" or whatever it's called in english vb. this will compile the controllibrary first, then the plugin.
5. copy both dlls to your plugins folder. _________________________ TerraCoppa, WaterMill, NWN2Packer & Packistani, WorldGate, RRN-Docs, RePlug... PW Weltentor (german)
not to be a bitch, but i would like to know what you mean by pressing a few buttons, im not exactly a good scripter, and the tutorials doesnt really teach me much unless i want to spend endless weeks of deep stydying og this subject...i DL'ed MC visual Basics express and your source code...and to be quite honest i did not understand any of it, so if it is that simple as you say, do you mind to just write a small discritption here to explain to us/me how to do this? im in desperate need of RDR IC wizard...cause all the others i have used sucks compared to that one :(
i will be greatful if i could get some help on this or possibly just a update for the 1.13.1409 (the latest patch available at the time) _________________________ Personal Glory above all in battle, death before dishonor!
i provided the sources so that you can download and compile the plugins yourself. this may sound harsh, but compiling a plugin is a lot easier than most things people do inside toolset. you only need a suitable compiler, e.g. the free microsoft visual basic express, and press a couple of buttons.
i removed the compilers a while ago when i had to install windows again, and i don't intend to re-install a couple of gigabytes of m$ stuff only to compile a few hundred bytes of code, for a game didn't play for almost two years now - i'm sure you'll understand this.

Indeed, the treecutter is not working. It features a mistake in time to apply the walkmesh on trees. The information it gives is that something is missing in the line of code (.dat). =/

If anyone deserves a vacation it's you. Thanks for all your great plug-ins tani.
yes, this helps, as it tells me that you don't know what windows is telling you...
in windows, each file has a extension to the filename, like ".txt" in "readme.txt". usually you won't see the extension, because windows defaults to not showing it, instead windows tells you what it _thinks_ that the extension stands for. a file called "readme.txt" on your harddrive might be shown as a file called "readme", and filetyp "text file", because windows knows (or believes to know) that all files named *.txt are text files.
but there are a number of filename extensions that are widely used for a number of filetype, like the extension ".dat" which is used by more than a dozen different applications to name their datafiles. windows keeps a list telling it that ".txt" stands for "text file", ".doc" stands for "office document" etc. filetypes unknown will be labeled "xxx type file", xxx beiyng the unknown extension itslef. on some windows system "treecutter.dat" will therefore be labelled ".dat file", on other systems windows might call them "dvd movie file", others would call them "database file", etc., depending on what application told windows how to label ".dat" files.
but the label doesn't change a thing about what is inside the file, and if treecutter.dll wants to load treecutter.dat, it will do so, regardless of what windows thinks about that file.
experts don't rely on windows' telling them what type of file they see, but force windows to reveal the full filename of all files (this may look strange the first minute, but you'll get used to it rather quickly). to do so you have to any (file)explorer window, open the "extras" menu, select "folder options", switch to the second tab and remove the checkmark from "hide extensions of known filetypes" (these options may be called differently on your pc). _________________________ TerraCoppa, WaterMill, NWN2Packer & Packistani, WorldGate, RRN-Docs, RePlug... I'll try to clarify that; I run WinXP.
From the 'View' menu option, I use 'Details' view (how files are shown to me inside of folders).
Inside of the Replug folder (and all folders on my pc for that matter), next to the file in question there is a header called 'Size' (this shows the file's size), then 'Type' (this shows the file's type). The file 'Type' was the flexilim licence thing.
Treecutter and NWN2MapperTilesets are the only 2 files that are currently of type 'Flexilm Licence' from the replug folder, the Readme is of type 'Text Document' and all there files are of type 'Application Extention'. I have not run NWN2Mapper yet (don't know what it's for), so I don't know if the same issue exists for that too.
i still don't understand what you mean by saying "it was a flexilm licence file". if you yourself don't know what this is, who told you? windows? is your explorer, by any chance, set to "hide known extensions" (it is by default, but any serious windows user would disable this asap after installation)? then maybe there's nothing wrong with the files at all, only your silly os tells you what it believes .dat files actually are... _________________________ TerraCoppa, WaterMill, NWN2Packer & Packistani, WorldGate, RRN-Docs, RePlug... The one that worked was the second one, the direct download of treecutter.dat.
From the uploaded files, the .dat file was not a .dat in the zipper - that was the problem. it was a FLEXlm Licence File (whatever that is).
This download that worked was a .dat, but its file description was a FLEXlm Licence. Must have been corrupted somewhere between the vault and my hard drive. Thanks again for providing the file link.
One software note about treecutter if anybody wants to take up working on it: It doesn't like to cut out resized trees (especially the kind with root areas (the triangles at the base of the trees). It will throw an unhandled exception if it tries to cut out something like this. The best way to test it would be to use a mod with a lot of trees and resized trees. Then go around trying to cut out a bunch of them.

That file link worked - Thank you! Holy cow, no more tedious tree snipping for me...
Now that I can use this, I can finally vote.
Thanks for all the work you put into maintaining these tools for the community.

I just tried downloading it again. I tested 10 different downloads of RePlug_20071222_1153.zip and treecutter.dat was not in the file.
Just to be safe, I posted a request for an Object Cutter on the bioware nwn2 forum (patch preview 1.13 thread). Maybie the developers will take pitty on us and make one available *crosses fingers*.
huh? i just downloaded RePlug_20071222_1153.zip and RePlug_20071001_1115.zip and treecutter.dat is in _both_ packages. i don't know if it works, though, but the file is there! i don't know nothing about any flexthingy licence files, and surely there's no such file in _my_ downloads. either there was a "hickup" in vault engine, or you have some local problem! _________________________ TerraCoppa, WaterMill, NWN2Packer & Packistani, WorldGate, RRN-Docs, RePlug... Ok. I just checked each of the download options - treecutter.dat is not in any of them.
There is something that is replacing the .dat file. Its called: FLEXlm Licence File. It is 1KB in size.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the FLEXlm Licence File *was* the treecutter.dat file.
I don't know what happened, but the treecutter.dat is not in any of the downloads.
