In this, the 4th part of the long road, the road leaves the valley and finds it's way through the marshlands to the east. The area is 24 x 24 and you will find a sunken temple, lots of grass, a boat on the river, and a few other things. Oh, and did I mention grass?
Thanks, Megyery. :-) _________________________ The toolset has gotten much better.

An area quite interesting, overall the use of grass because it makes it very realistic and lets it to have its own personality. I think the terrain textures may be visible sometimes and sometimes not. It depends from the designer´s decision and in this case it looks quite aproppiated. I like the dirty water idea, but perhaps it´s too marroon (it´s only an opinion). Anyway, another nice area. Thanks so much, Ninthletter. Good job! _________________________ sic luceat lux
Having pudding all over my areas bothers me a bit, however, I don't want to limit myself to the small number of placeables currently available. I could import all sorts of community content to work with but, I prefer to leave that up to the mod builders rather than forcing them to use it if they want to work with the area. Pudding is a problem but, it tastes ok and if a builder doesn't like it they can always delete it.
The grass issue is well taken, however, if you've looked at all my other areas I believe you will find that in most cases I have limited myself considerably in the grass department. The grass in this area was a design decision that was made on purpose. There are a few spots were a greater degree of variation would have made some improvement but, in the main, it is as I intended it to be. If it isn't to your taste simply make changes to suit the mod you are working on or refrain from using this area, the choice is your, of course. _________________________ The toolset has gotten much better.
I have seen some builders use techniques such as the very fine textures are in the forefront-(accessible path) & the smoother textures are in the background. Thus saving on texture workload for the pc. _________________________

Nice one, but once again, you still over-scale the objects, making textures look like pudding. Also try to limit yourself with amount of grass placed in areas, the terrain texture must be visible after all. Try to place small piles of higher (1.5 scale) and connect them with broadly scattered routes of 1.0 grass. Belive me, it looks much bettet that way than having a wall of flat, 2d grass on every side of the road.
Just a quick note on this area. I have placed a ship in this area. It's a bit odd because it appears to be underway without a crew. If it seems to strange for you simply jump into the toolset and delete it. It's something I've wanted to try for a while. _________________________ The toolset has gotten much better.
