This is an area that features a rich waterfall, harbor, some high guard post and a castle. There are ships, a merchant area, a temple and a wizards retreat. Look closely and you may find a secret passage into the castle. That is if you can hold your breath ;)
Its a 24X24 Area. None of the buildings are operational and none of the benches are useable. Everything is from the basic TS with some customizing of size.
First I want to give Morez of the moeFX v0.1 waterfall and fountain effect. Thank you for a great effect.
Second I would like to give thanks to the NWNMaster for creating a great tutorial on the toolset.
This is my very first build of an area. Hats off to those that have submitted their work. You truly dont appreciate the effort required to build out an area until you try it yourself.
I wanted to created a harbor town that had some basic work. There is still more that can be done and maybe have the flow of the building changed a little. It was a test of my very limited abilities. I think it came out alright. As with all projects it could always be better. Please use it however you want. Vote if you like too. i am not doing this for recognition. Just wanted to contribute.

It annoyed me, too. Try cutting out small sections at different levels with the Flatten tool, then Smooth out the edges. You might also want to make a steep hill heading up to the sheer wall, so that the player doesn't get as close a look at it. Mist is also good for that. Colour can break up the monotony of an area, but with stretching it can draw attention to what you're trying to hide. You can cover up the worst of the stretched textures with scaled rocks, as you mentioned. A nice little layout- keep it up! It's really just too bad the toolset isn't more forgiving on those of us who want those high drop-offs. :D
