Hi everybody,I am releasing a new area prefab called Bafa Lake, based on my recent stay in Turkey for 2 years. I had
the opportunity to do some hiking around the Bafa Lake region south of Izmir. Is a very beautiful place, with small
villages nestled in the mountains, and on the northeast end of the Mountain range called the five fingers, is an ancient city
called Heracles which is currently occupied by villagers who have built their homes on the ruins living side by side with history.
I hope everybody will enjoy it I tried to capture the essence of the area. Updated the northeast range, sandstone textures did not look right, cleaned up some grass and trees. Also the area offers 2 caves one is hidden up on the slopes. I kept the walkmesh simple, builders can decide on the walkmesh they want.

Thanks charlievale for your comments and vote. I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the walk around the area it is fun to run around in. Yeah about the walkmesh I left it simple so that builders could either add or change stuff around, makes it easier, then they could go around with walkmesh cutters and put the finishing touches.

This is a truly beautiful area to walk around in. Each bend or rise brings you to something new. I did notice that my character disappeared inside of several large boulders - perhaps these could be made non walkable? Walking around in this area inspires me with ideas for mod building and adventure - which is the main reason I look at prefabs.
Thanks Velgor, I really enjoy building areas, but I'm not good at scripting or at story boarding, but maybe one day I will start working on scripting and story telling skills. I'm hoping to start up a server between 6 to 8 months from now. We shall see what the future brings.

This is such a wonderful mod. It's incredibly beautiful and realistic. I would LOVE to see more of your work and encourage you to PLEASE keep building. I'd love to see this become a fully functional mod. Stunning work!
English is great. Yeah that is great idea to break it down into smaller area's. The back side of the 5 fingers has some detail work done on it as well, so builders could use yatts to copy that part of the terrain to expand or break it down. My next release will be much smaller area but hope to have a lot of detail in it. Hints (Edoras the Golden Horn)....

I guess I'll separate it into multiple areas, but I don't want to harm the beauty of this whole place... I think some really big mapping job will calling me soon, as I have to keep the harmony even splitted.
I'm glad Aylea, knowing that people are enjoying the area's I build give's me pleasure. Thks for your comments and vote. I look forward to seeing your mod.

Wow, again. You keep building areas, and I'll keep using them! I don't like building the exteriors. Interiors and dialog are my thing. You may see the entire outside world of my mod designed by YOU!
BTW--I'm working on my masters in chemistry and life sciences, and I enjoy modding to unwind, as well.
Thks for your vote, Redunzgfasta, until we get more options from bioware, custom is the only way to get some of the things we need. I tried to keep custom content to a minimum only used mofex waterfall and walkmesh helper. But I did make the override data folder easy to understand, each folder pertains to a specific area like walkmesh, so its easy to edit or even remove a specific custom override. I will need to explorer the toolset more I guess, will have to read more tutorials on spraying at selected pressures and painting just the area I want. Thks for the tip. For my next release I will try to stay away from custom content, I understand the problems that can arise.

unfortunatly I cant edit my comment, but he seccond line should ofcourse be:
I realy hate the use of custom content in prefab area's because.....
I ofcourse love good custom content.

Sorry but a 9 again.
I realy hate custom content due to the (possible) need of having to update 2da's with patches and possible conflicts with other custom content. But its a very beautiful area! Your texturing is fantastic.
One thing about the color tool. It does exactly what you are asking for! Spraying the area at selected pressure and at brushsize. I gues you have a tile selected when aplying it, because then it fills the whole tile instead of just the brush area. It realy is a sprayingbrush.
Btw. now I understand your lack of use of it. I realy didnt understand why you didnt use the color function more :)
Thank you guys (lordofmidgard, The Ridge, Caos81 ). This area I have been working on during my spare time from mcse classes. Area building allows me to vent my stress , gets me relaxed and keeps me at home out of trouble, also its the best entertainment. I really enjoy area building so I'm looking for more toolset tweaks and functions. One thing I would like to see is if the brush size of 1 can be increamented by .5 rather than one. So you could start out at .5 on brush and work your way up for large spots. This would allow for better detail, and some photoshop functions would be nice like different brush shapes, spraypaint tool, rather than the color tool which does whole tile vs just areas you want to touch up. If we had these tools then I could make some really detailed areas, like mountains with ridges, snow covered peaks....etc. Would look like a photograph. Anyway I'm very happy that you guys enjoyed the area. Thanks for your comments and votes and maybe santa clause (bioware) might fufill my wish list.

This is the BEST looking exterior area I have seen in the Vault.
Great work, with maps like this Nwn2 really shows its potential.
Congratulations, keep the good work. _________________________

Wow!
Simply wow!
As I'm not a builder I only scutinized the screen shots but I have to say the level and attention to detail in these shots are truly impressive! It would be nice to see this prefab developed into an outdoor adventure. *hint to the mod makers*
Nice work my friend.

It has been a while since the last time I saw a fine textured area like this.
