This is my very first attempt at creating an area. I read through the Help Tutorial with the toolset and tried my hand at it. It is a small area of prairie-like terrain.
This has no encounters, creatures, NPCs, triggered events, or scripting.
It is simply an area landscape to practice and shore up on skills of making terrain.
I am hoping some of the more veteraned module makers can take a look and give me some feedback; whether I'm on the right path towards doing something good, and/or where I fault and can improve.
I took the suggestions on the board. Fixed the floating wood planks near the bridge. Fixed the area near the bridge that you can see under the water, and smoothed out some of the "sharp angles" along the river in that area. Zipped the file as an RAR file as well.
I also figured out how to add sounds, so the area is now complete with ambient sounds
A lovely sense of space visually. I would have liked to be able to walk along and follow the river down a bit further, perhaps to the next bend in the river. I found one oddity to do with the water level. On the other side of the bridge (from spawning in point) I was able to hug close to the bridge and get near the waters edge. With the camera angle at ground level I can see that the water is placed almost like a thin sheet across the surface. This leaves the hollowed out riverbed below totally dry, so you basically see a sheet of floating water. Also I'd soften out the water edges near the bridge as they seem to sharp and the water in places looks to be flowing onto the land in spikes.
Overall I really like this area, and with a little more room to explore (walkable area) the sense of space and beauty you have portrayed could actually be experienced.
I look forward to your next update ! :) _________________________ QSW -NWVault Reviewers Forum

G'day Robert
What I mean by a "natural entry / exit" is the way most maps in the OC are closed off at the edges by natural barriers, such as steep grades, cliffs, water, dense growth, walls, fences, etc. This provides visual cues to the players about which way to go to find the next area transition.
I don't mean to tell you that you have to do it like that, but I mentioned it in your feedback as it is something that some module builders will be looking for in a pre-fab area. Other builders will use roads or be happy to leave open ground at the edges of the map that can't be traversed. Another alternative is an edge transition system, that allows players to transition anywhere along the edge of a map (requiring the builder to make maps that align visually).
Thank you for taking the time to post feedback. I can tell you spent a great deal of time truly inspecting my work.
I have gone in and raised the terrain at the entrance of the bridge in order to fix the magical "floating plank"
If you read this - could you explain better what you mean about not being able to use the transition in the NWN2 game? I'm not sure I understand your concern.
Thanks
Robert

A very nice looking area. You have conveyed the sense of a wide open prairie very well. There is good attention to detail here - I like the mushroom patch.
There are no natural entry/exit points on this map, which would make it difficult to use this with the standard nwn2 transitions.
Minor point: on the mainland side of the bridge, the first piece of wood is balanced precariously (when looked at from low angle). It may look better if built up a bit more, like the other side.
Yes, PrtScrn takes screenshot and puts it in the "my documents/neverwinter nights 2" folder. Just go there, change view to thumbnails, and look for the screenshots.
