A small private or secret shrine located inside a house or manor. Can belong to a secret cult, a rich person that secretly or privately wants to worship his god(s).
It is comprised of a corridor and a larger area where the shrine exists and the area's format is module. Partly inspired by Lady Lilia's Temples.
Original idea included many lit candles and candelabras scattered throughout the shrine floor, in order to convey a heavy ritualistic tone. Unfortunately this was impossible, since dynamic lighting and shadows are an extreme resource hog even for the latest graphic cards. Unwanted lights and effects can be removed for better performance.
Updated and removed some glitching placeables that appeared in the area with the installation of Motb. Also removed the 25 paintings hak.
Haks/overrides required:
1) Gortan's Magical Gadgets (hak): Link 2) Sorceress Ashura's VFX Pack (override): Link
Please consider my previous comment inaccurate. There were indeed some pleaceables appearing in the middle of the corridor; not sure how i missed them (perhaps placeables were turned off at the toolset and i didn't notice it when i looked).
The area thus did not receive any major overhaul, only some small changes and adjustments according to some suggestions. In any case, hopefully there won't be any more problems.

Good to hear you're remaking the area, I await the new version breathlessly =D.
FYI, I actually managed to fix the toolset glitches I was having with the area by stripping out all the hakpacks, deleting any placeables that referred to non-standard templates, and then adding the hakpacks back in. Not really sure what the issue was, it's probably just the toolset being its usual problematic self.
Hello, i noticed the glitches you mention ingame, not in the toolset. It seemed some parts of the walls were extruding inside the hallway. It didn't seem to be because of the hakpaks because i removed them all as well as all the placeables and the glitches still remained.
As i can't pinpoint the exact cause (my only guess is that it's some bug or incompatibility of the tiles with motb), i decided to remake the area. I will update it in the next few days, thank you very much for the comments!

Good attention to detail, nice opulent small area that can easily be adapted for other purposes.
Unfortunately, some of the hakpacks you use seem to conflict with MoTB's placeables and glitch up the toolset. A fix would be good.
Thank you both for taking the time to comment and vote.
Regarding the waterlilies: indeed (even though not mentioned in the description) my intention was not to place another ordinary fountain but instead to try and create the feeling of the deity's power being real and being present in the room. Not sure how sucessfully this is portrayed with the lilies growing inside the fountain.
Regarding the candelabras: indeed they are not the image i had in mind when i conceived the idea of this shrine. I originally had in mind lots of single candles scattered in the floor, without any other accessories.
Unfortunately, i could neither find a sole candle model (the only placeable candle model inside the toolset is a candle with a ceramic base) nor place too many of the candelabras on the floor (for performance reasons).
They do seem somewhat out of place to me as well currently. I will definately try your idea and see how feasible it is, although i am currently making another area which i would like to finish before i give a shot in the shrine area again. Once again, thanks for your suggestions.

Very nice. A clear artistic vision, well expressed, though a bit cluttered.
I liked the dolphins on the fountain. And I had to laugh when I saw the water lilies. The modern conceit for fountains is to make them empty and lifeless, because that is so much easier to keep clean. But in historical times, water tended to have things growing in it regardless of what ideas the owner might have had. Hence the classical dependency for many societies on beer (in cases where clean groundwater was unavailable). When you drank beer you knew that you'd never end-up straining critters out with your teeth.
One might say that indoor plants look unrealistic and out-of-place in any pre-industrial setting, since they would quickly die without electric lighting or extremely large glass windows. On the other hand, the 'realism boat' sailed a long time back and they do create the impression that the deity is filling the shrine with life-giving energy.
I'm not sure that the candelabras on the floor got you the look you wanted. Recognizable candelabras carry specific connotations of use. Placing them on the floor or in groups makes them look out-of-place. A religious or ritualistic feel would be stronger coming from racks of votive candles. Your problem would then become "where do I get a rack of votive candles since there is no model yet?"
What if you tried disguising the nature of the candelabras? You might try this... Take one of the table or desk placeables. Shorten it extremely so that its top is just below the height of the flame on the candelabras. Place it so that it interpenetrates with them. The neck and arms of the candelabras would be hidden inside the low table and you would simply see the rows of short candles perched on top. It might end-up looking like what one sees in cathedrals.
That might work or it might not. At least it would be something to try.
