New Magincia Lore Realms of Ultima uses a storyline based 300 years after the events of Ultima 9 and the ascension of the Avatar. Here is the citys description in the RoU travelers guide:
After the destruction of the sunken city of Ambrosia the gargoyle race lie almost in ruin. The few survivors brought the queen egg, given to them by the Avatar to the deserted remains of New Magincia. It is here that they have rebuilt their shattered lives. Seeking to erase the mistakes of the past, the Gargoyles sought to rebuild the town and dedicate their new life to the virtue of Humility. They now live out their days in peaceful simplicity as the caretakers of that shrine.
You can learn all about the citys history at the Ultima Wiki.

What is Realms of Ultima? Realms of Ultima is not just one module. It's designed to be many module prefabs that can be combined together to make new story modules, PWs, multiplayer DMd modules or whatever people would wish to create, all with an Ultima theme.
Each module made with the RoU banner will have these content packs in common, giving builders a common thread and consistency throughout.

Memories of playing the Ultima Series back in the day, along with Ultima Online. I had to take a peek. Very nice, work, Seems to be lacking just a bit on that wow factor. I enjoyed the nostalgia.
Admitting you played the Ultima series (when it was new) is the same as remembering the 80's? "yikes"
Best of luck!

Well designed and mapped, just a bit plain for my taste and not an outstanding idea, but anyway its very well worked _________________________ CO mapper
One of the main reasons for the custom content is to make consistancy across all RoU Prefabs. There are some prefabs (like the Empath Abby and Dagger Isle) that make extensive use of the custom content.

These prefabs will get more use as more Ultima area designs are released.
What really bothered me is having to download over 1.4 gigs of some 3C content when it's not even being used in the prefab. As a builder myself, I figure it would have been easier to have padded to ROU haks to support 3C haks. This would allow anyone using this prefab to add 3C if they wanted to, not be forced to use it.
Looking forward to your next release, please keep us updated on the NWN2 modules forum.

I've posted a question over on my page for Serpent's Hold... but in case you don't get the chance to get back there I think I'll ask it here too: since my Serpent's Hold prefab may be useful to you, I should like to know what other areas you might be interested in as prefabs for RoU... primarly, because I would not want to build something you already have done. So, either on my page or here, let me know (when you get the chance). That said, farewell for the moment!

This truly does break new ground, in that it marks one of the first Ultima prefabs released for Nwn2. Realms of Ultima is a worthy project, indeed!
