Constructed on the largest island just to the east, and south, of the Cape of Heroes: the Isle of Deeds... Serpent's Hold is the training ground for nearly all the realm of Britannia's knights.
Serpent's Hold is, mostly... a single, compound structure, with an internal castle to house the Lord and Captains, the instructors, meetings halls, and the mess hall. Outside of that, but still within the keep's walls, are the barracks, the smithy, the stables, and the training grounds. Serpent's Hold is less a city more than it is a great stronghold. Although the keep has been there for some time... very few newer buildings have sprung up around it.
Serpent's Hold stands, as a building symbolizing the principle of Courage, and it's mighty walls strengthen the courage of it's fighters, and allies, while putting fear into the hearts of the enemies of the keep. The Order of the Silver Serpent has total command over the fortress, and adventurers of every kind are welcome to test their martial skills in a sparring match.
The fighters of Serpent's Hold are the best in all of Britannia, and will oft train many recruits in their ways of fighting and war. Also, the very best weapons and armours are produced at Serpent's Hold. Serpent's Hold is also known to house the Eternal Flame of Courage and the Bell of Courage, two items of highly symbolical value. As long as Serpent's Hold stands strong, Britannia will yet defend itself from every kind of threat. This variant of Serpent's Hold is from Ultima Online.
Note: It was necessary to take several liberties in order to create a more realistic and convincing 3D version of UO's Serpent's Hold for Nwn2. I made the terrain more mountainous, and I also emphasised the tropical climate of southern Britannia. I lastly added some unique touches, like fountains, statues, an orchard, etc. to present more diversity as well. What you'll find, is an interesting prefab useful for those working on Ultima projects, or any module that needs a good island castle. Feel free to use as desired and change anything you like. Just do not forget to mention me, if you end up using this in your mod, or world. ;)
Contains a module so you can explore Serpent's Hold at your leisure, and an .erf for importing it into your own module. Also included, are two UO maps of Serpent's Hold, so you can see what it looks like in UO, compared to my version for Nwn2. That said... enjoy!
MokahTGS... I've just sent my email, which explains my interest in being a part of RoU officially as well as some ideas I have for my first official RoU prefab. In it I also included my email address, so you can contact me and let me know what you think. Farewell 4 now!

If you'd like to build for RoU you can download the RoU Starter module and that will have everything you need to start building. You'll also be able to release it under the RoU banner. We've already got projects going for Buccaneer's Den, Empath Abby, Yew, and Stonegate. Email me if you want to get onto the team officially. Ok, I've just downloaded all of the latest 3C and RoU Hak Paks; I've also checked out New Magincia, and I must say it certainly captures the spirit of the place. (I had to give it a 10, since it really was groundbreaking, in that you don't see Ultima prefabs a lot for Nwn2, other than mine here.)What parts of Britannia would RoU be interested in seeing as Nwn2 prefabs? I would not want to get too busy at designing an area that you've got done already, so that would be helpful to know... and if I could come up with something definately useful to you, I think that would be very productive. In any case, farewell for the moment!
How amazing! I just noticed that your prefab release, New Magincia, went up tonight as well. By all means, you may use Serpent's Hold in Realms of Ultima if you like. I've used no content but Nwn (latest version) and MoTB, so for those looking to add custom content to it, that should pose no problem. If I come up with anything else Ultima-wise I'll release it and you can give it a look for consideration in RoU as well. Thanks for your vote, too! Now, I must go have a look at your version of New Maginica... being an old-school Ultima fan, I'm always interested in updated versions of Britannia/Sosaria. Between such combined efforts as we can put up on the Vault, we may yet see playable Ultima modules for Nwn2 before long! :)

Ok, didn't know you were working on this. I really would like to use this for the RoU project, but need to know what placeables were used. Is there any custom content needed for it?
Anyway - Are you interested in help us work on the RoU project? We could use more builders, especially ones who know their Ultima.
I'll be looking this over for inclusion into the RoU prefabs, with your permission of course. You'll get full credit of course, and then some.
