Here is my contest entry for the NWN2 Area contest. It was inspired by the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting Book, p. 166:
"Flowing down from the Star Mounts in the High Forest to the valley of the River Delimbyir, the Unicorn Run is known for its hundreds of waterfalls, its whitewater rapids, the fey communities along its banks, and occasional sightings of the creatures that the river its name."
I will be using it for Act III of the campaign "A Time to Die" for Neverwinter Nights 2.
Installation Instructions:
1. Download the unicorn_run.zip file from the Vault.
2. Unzip file and place the unicorn_run.mod in your
My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/modules/ folder
3. Download the sorc_ash_vfx2.hak from the Vault if you do not already have it in your hak folder. If not, place here: My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/hak/ (I've included it in the zipped file for your convenience)
4. Download the unicorn folder from the Vault and put in My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/override/ (or you can use the version I have included with the unicorn_run.zip file with my version of the appearance.2da file. Delete the 2da file if you don't need it and you want to simply add the unicorn code to your own appearance.2da)
Tips for Using Area:
I was trying to get the log to work for crossing back and forth, but for some reason, I had the settings wrong for the conversion to fire correctly. Due to the lack of time before submission for the contest, I created a wild elf and used the unicorn to aid the player in moving back and forth between the Uxinor's Meadow and the rest of Unicorn's Run.
I purposely made the area as unsettled by habitation as possible with the exception of a few fey creatures. There are plenty of hills and rough terrain, which is how I pictured Unicorn's Run would be like. There might be a few problems with the walkmesh and trees, but I didn't have time to go through everything thoroughly. Hope you enjoy exploring!
Yatt Settings for Bad Lands 9.bmp:
Max Height = 30 (or 40, can't remember exactly)
Min Height = 0
(Height Map is from Teper's Height Map Vol.1 on the Vault)

Fantastic area. The use of color to shade this map was great. You have a nice arraingment of placeables too. The area layout is very cool too.
The only gripe I've got is that the walkmesh is in really bad shape. _________________________ Ugly_Ducks Portfolio

Wow - thanks aadatepe for the awesome review and vote. I really appreciate it and have always been a fan of your area prefabs. Your height maps really saved me time allowing me to get the area done in time for the contest. I added a few mountains into the design once I rendered the height map (to allow for the waterfalls). What a timesaver they are to start an area with. :) _________________________

Sweet area, I love the hills and waterfall and the use of grass. Great work and good luck on contest.
Thanks Michele! I did that purposely since I wanted it to be a bit tough to trek through the areas (will make more sense when it is included in the campaign with actual encounters.) :D
