I had the idea to create this small, dense port city years ago. Tried to evoke old city with a history. Part Edinburgh, part Dublin, part Seattle. Foggy, a bit run-down, with some interesting neighborhoods. It's market day today and traders from all over have set up tents and wagons around Castle Bridge Park near the main gate.
I had been dabbling in creating the exterior map ever since Tupoun released the beautiful City Hak. This prefab is, in many ways, a showcase for that hak file. I hadn't intended to release this for quite some time yet, but when I noticed the contest last week, I decided to finish this up. My understanding wife gave me "every waking hour" for the last three days to put everything in order.
I hope you enjoy it. I hope the City inspires module builders and story tellers to create things in the city. I am inspired by it, personally and intend, eventually, to use it as a hub and launching point for many of the modules I have in development.
You need for this module:
Tupoun's City Hak (available elsewhere on the vault)
Camb's vines override (optional)
Version 1: just the exteriors
Version 2: adds exterior shops (see the readme file for details)
This is the MOD version of the prefab. Don't forget you'll need Topoun's City Hak to see the city. I also used Camb's vines, though the module doesn't strictly *need* them in order to run.
This is version 2.0 of Allyndn's City Prefab. There are some minor edits to the texturing as well as a bunch of new exterior shops and encounters. Packaged as an ERF with a ReadMe file.
The "fish market" where local fishermen trade for vegetables and other produce.
The "Mercenary Surplus" store in the open market.
The church.
The Blacksmith is a great place to commission a new blade or have some armor repaired.
Make sure to visit lovely "Castle Bridge Park." It's a bit past it's prime, and most of the fountains are broken, but it has a nice statue of a guy on a horse. The locals call it "The Horse Guy Statue."
"I think I'll stop at that pub for a drink," thinks our hero.
Not the nice part of town.
See if you can find the best fishing spot in the whole city. The structure in the background hints at the earlier civilization which ruled the island before the current colonists. There's probably an adventure in that somewhere.

I used this in my Path of Evil campaign for one of the cities, but never voted. _________________________ Shadow Thief: Crimmor and Path of Evil blog Link

Very very good area.
I'm agree with this : texturing done by yourself should be blended better.
Thanks a lot.

1st at all - the hak looks great, all this new buildings and walls and so on. Anyway i am here not to vote for the hakmodels. There few things i want to say:
texturing done by yourself should be blended better, its drawn with to less bledning. And there wer some spots were terrain edges were not flattened enough.
Thats all i can so much about it. Layout and anything lese looks good.

I know what you mean. I hope for a future NWN2 CEP. It was a tough call, from a building standpoint, but I found I could build quicker to a comparable result with the City Hak than with BCK, though both give beautiful results.

This looks great!
It's frustrating that this uses the City Hak because that conflicts with the BCK and BCK2 haks. If you try to combine the two you have to move one of them.
