Hopeless, the gate town to The Grey Waste in The Outlands. This is an area from Rogue Dao Studios Purgatorio project. It is being released in part to give vaultgoers an indication of what Purgatorio will look like, and in part because its just a really slick looking area(we thought anyway). There are some things you guys should know about it so I'll list those now...
-It has barely any sounds and barely any vfx. Since its unpopulated I didn't know what people would be using it for, so no sounds. As for the vfx, well rds has a boatload of custom vfx and we also use several packs off the vault so I just took them all out. So just add vfx and sounds to taste.
-I left a door off the rws tower I used at the bottom of the city. Again, add a door to taste.
-There are some chairs and whatnot that I left as enviro objects, partially for easier baking on my end(heh heh) and partially because I don't know what you guys will do with said chairs. So once again, the chairs are yours to do with what you will.
-It is a ginormous area that makes liberal use of trees. It is intended for very sparse population and contains no interiors(gotta keep some stuff under wraps).
_This does require the RWS tower pack. If you don't have it already I highly recommend that you download it with the quickness. It really is wonderful.
-In Purgatorio, there will be an accompanying skybox depicting the spire in the distance. Until then I gave you a pretty decently dreary day/night cycle.
Thats pretty much all I can think of. The area was made from the maps of Hopeless and the writeups in the 2nd edition planescape books. There are appropriate(where possible) building types for landmarks such as the mayor's mansion, and you can even see the city of Torch in the distance from within the walls.
I really hope you guys enjoy this one, and feel free to use it however you like!

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's definitely not a pretty area at all. Hopeless is more on the evil side of the great wheel, and is said to mostly be devoid of color. The mayor of Hopeless actually patrols the streets and punishes those who wear colorful clothing or act less than downtrodden and, well, hopeless.

Just checked this area out. Actually seems kinda unremarkable at first, it's definetely not "pretty" or sort of immidietely, but after running around a bit in it, one definetely get the sense of really great potential once NPCs are added, sounds etc. Nice and big as well.
I really liked what you could see outside the city walls as well, a great way to add some scale (maerduin of Harp & Crysanthemum is great at this).
Awesome stuff, always great to see content from the Rogue Dao team.

This area is really something special, and one of my favorites from Purgatorio. Thanks for making such an impressive contribution to the community!
