This is simply intended as a quick resource for builders - collecting some official cycles, and a couple of my own in one place for builders looking to explore the effects of lighting on an area - and saving time on exporting them from the official campaign themselves
OCSwamp - taken from the tutorial module that comes with the game. Good atmospheric swamp lighting. Import for all stages
MOTBdefault - the standard cycle use in MOTB exteriors. Import for all stages
MOTBthay - the Thaymount lighting from MOTB. Import for all cycles
MOTBsnow - the snowy area lighting from MOTB. Import for all cycles
wyrin_spooky_deafault - a dark lit area, slightly desaturated, taken from the Raven's Lake sidequest of Dark Avenger 2. Import as default lighting and set area not to have a Day/Night cycle and no directional light
wyrin_interior_default_NoDirect - an interior lighting setting I use as a base for tweaking to get other interiors e.g. using placeable lights or turning on directional light and using different sun/moon colors, make specular light slightly green/purple in aberrant areas etc. Import as default lighting, no Day/Night cycle, (+/- no directional light)
Hi Jaz - yeah would be good to have a one stop pack for these.
I've played with several of SGK's prefabs, and yeah his lighting's great - but didn't want to step on his toes by including it here as would constitute his own pack in his own right. But yeah, would definitely reccomend builders check them out. _________________________ Wyrin
I was thinking of collecting these myself. Have you started a thread on the NWN2 boards asking for submissions? I'm sure there are lots of authors who have made good settings for an area in their mod.
SGK73 has good area lighting by the way. Check out his deep snow prefab which has a nice winter gloom effect.

I like these day/night settings, I like to do areas myself but I dont really like tweaking the lightning settings that much and making it look good with bloom can take hours and hours for me, so it's a nice time saver and these are really good.
Yeah I just checked yours out too - going to use it for the Halloween mod to test it out
That was my thinking with the official lighting - the MOTB settings are actually pretty good, and the OC swamp is very nice - so worth having easy access to
yeah, I haven't had time to link in my screenshots yet, but will get round to it _________________________ Wyrin

Thanks for the submission, Wyrin. I'm sure there are some people that could make use of the Obsidian lighting without having to go through the hassle of hunting down the modules.
As for the Interior Default setting, we must've used the same exact interior to create our base, because if you compared the two Default Lightings, the only difference is with the bloom settings - the colors are all exactly the same. Your settings are (going from top to bottom w/ Bloom) like 8, 2, .6, 3, .6, and mine are 6.4, .8, .75, 2, 1 . The difference between the two are minimal, and I have yet to see Glow Intensity actually do anything. I guess there are practically no items with glow maps for me to tell :P
You might attract more attention if you had images as well. Some people refuse to DL anything without images. The fact that this is considered a prefab already cuts its popularity down by alot. _________________________ BouncyRock Entertainment
