This collection of lighting presets are the exported Environmental Settings from 140 areas in the Original Campaign and Mask of the Betrayer areas. Each lighting preset is named after the name of the area they were exported from.
Files starting with a number, are from the Original Campaign. Files starting with a letter are from Mask of the Betrayer Expansion Pack.
The Files "generic_forest" and "greycloaks" are from the Original Campaign.
What are Environmental Settings?
This is the light, fog, bloom (and a few other settings) for an area.
Install instructions:
Uncompress the 140 files into your Atari/NeverwinterNights2/NWN2Toolset/LightingPresets folder.
This is typically the default patch the Toolset uses when loading or exporting LightingPresets.
You *can* place these any where you like however. It does not matter where you place them, but it may be easier if you do place them where I suggest above.
How do I use these for areas in my mod?
1. Load up an area in the toolset.
2. Go to the properties window and bring up your area properties.
3. Click on the Import Settings button. Select Environmental Settings>DayNight Cycle Stage>All.
4. When the open file window opens, simply navigate to where you placed these files, and select one of these presets and choose OK.
TADA! You now have an area that is using lighting from an area in the OC or MotB!
ALL Lighting Presets were done by Obsidian Entertainment. I simply exported them to a file, for all to use.

Okay, just tried it, and I am voting 8 - Excellent, because I agree about the need to catalogue. It would definetly hit 9 for me if it were split into indoor-outdoor, and 10 if the cataloguing went further by mood/feel. Love it, love it, love it! _________________________ Joinable NPCs in IWD2. What a fabulous idea! I was missing something like that ever since I turned an area a completely awful shade of purple once... I am going to dl tomorrow, give it a try and comment/vote on the execution.
Off the top of my had a bunch of screenshots from the same simple testing areas with all those different settings would be appreciated (yep, I know it's 140!) But maybe group them by moood or something? Ie a list of 'romantic', 'cheerfull' or 'brooding' lighting sets?
But thank you so very much in advance!

loudent: I will look into possibly making "groups" to better categorize these. _________________________ NWN2 Rugs - Tapestries - New Wall Textures - New Floor Textures - Custom Load Hints! Spice up your mod today! Link

This is an awesome resource for builders Nothing is as painful (or as important) as those day night settings
8 - Excellent, Recommended to Anyone
The only thing I can see improving is if it were organized into subdirectories with some descriptive info. Makes it easier than just going through all of them one by one.
