Stretching from Arabel in the south, past Tilverton, up to Shadowdale in the north, and including Hullack Forest, Shadow Gap, Storm Horns, Thunder Peaks and Spiderhaunt Woods inbetween.
This is a functioning overland map with all SoZ encounters included, plus a few additional ones of my own choosing. I couldn't get the goodie system working properly but placeholders are present.
Static locations are Arabel, Tilverton and Shadowdale. Hidden locations include Castle Crag, New Acheron/Castle Joyous, and sites for random encounters e.g. crashed airship, caves and towers (sidequests not included).
Encounters scaled for ~7th level (use global in nChapter2enc to switch off more difficult opponents on the map).
A larger selection of encouinter areas is available, based on some prefabs by other contributors o nthe vault - email me if you are interested and I will chase up permissions.

Nice map if you want a little random encounter adventuring. If only Wyrin had the time to turn this into a full-scale campaign like White Plume Mountain--that would be stupendous!

Also, are the towns fleshed out with merchants?

How exactly do I set to encounters to level 7? If Wyrin or someone could give me the step-by-step method I'd appreciate it as this looks cool--much like White Plume Mountain which was great.

I'm using this map for an upcoming module project. It's great! The only thing I can not seem to get working is the goodies. I've got a lvl 20 ranger wandering around with an off the charts spot skill and still nothing. Everything else works, however. _________________________ Mokah - The Grumpy Strumpet || Dear Strumpet Letters|| Jabberwocky Development Blog|| Vertex I - The State of the Union ||
Hi Zarconus
yes you should play as a campaign. If it's not showing up the try opening the mod file in the toolset and then go to campaign editor to reattach the mod to the campaign directory _________________________ Wyrin
So what am i doing wrong? I put the mod in my modules folder and the n_cormyr folder in the campaign and i can spot stuff on the map but no goodies and no encounters? I am playing it as a new module not a campaign. Do I have to play it as a campaign and if so it's not named and won't let me play it from there?
Thanks for the answer. I think overland map it´s a great feature of NWN2. I´ll wander through North Cormyr this weekend ;).
I would like to ask you one question about overland maps: I´ve never reached the sword coast overland map in SOZ becase I lost the saved game. I want to go there straight with a party created by me but I don´t now how. I use the dungeon master that appears when I type "rs gr_dm" in the console. YHe has an option to teleport to any area, but I don´t know what tag is the correct to go to the sword coast overland map. In the toolset I see f00_overland but the dungeon master doesn´t leave me there.
Do you know the correct direction? Thanks in advance.

This is a great contribution and would be a real help for a DM or builder looking to do something in this area. I encourage you to also submit the other areas you did to support this. I'm already thinking about how I could use it as a campaign setting for my group of players. Thanks!
@ Juan
It is perfectly possible to use this as 15 minutes random encounters if you want a quick NWN2 fix, and should work in multiplayer.
It uses the SoZ core overland map system so should function for groups/multiplayer. I've used it with single player parties without a problem.
The map itself has all the SoZ encounters plus a few more I created - if you want to try it out for some hack and slash, then the encounters are balanced for 7th level IF you set a global int nChapter2enc to 1. Default (nChapter2enc = 0) activates all encounters, including some random dragons in certain regions, which lower levels will find tricky.
you should be able to debug the global i nto ttogle this in game using
I was going to use this map on a project which is now shelved. I have another prefab of the city of Arabel which can be linked to this map, and do have some content relating to that. But the sidequest locations are not active and no real plans to flesh them out. _________________________ Wyrin
