*** Area Prefab: Swamp_001_16x16 *****
**************************************
Date: November 13th, 2010 (11-13-2010)
This is the first swamp area that I've attempted to make with the toolset. I hope that it's up to standards for the community. It was by far the most challanging area that I've made thus far, texture-wise. Each download is using the default DAY/NIGHT cycles from the toolset, but there's more...
I've included an optional DAY/NIGHT cycle for this area too; it's in each of the downloads, and there is a download for the cycle seperate from the areas! It's the same for all of the different day/night events, accept for the night cycle. The night cycle uses some blacks and blues for the sky and fog. If you want to use it, when you import it, go down to "All" in the import menu.
** COMING SOON: Mini.Area.Pack (M.A.P) Volume 2! Keep an eye out for it within the next week!
Use this however you see fit, but do give credit.
Instructions:
To check out the .erf file, unzip the file first. Then, simply start the toolset, import the Swamp_001_16x16.erf file, place a start location, save it as whatever you want to call it. Then, start the game and select the new module from the module list.
To check out the .mod file, unzip the file first. Then place the Swamp_001_16x16.mod file into your Modules folder in the 'My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/Modules directory. Then, select Swamp_001_16x16 from the modules list after loading the game and start playing!
Check it out, and please vote. Also, post any comments/concerns that you wish here.

Light and shadow....
Most of the raised areas have completely and unnaturally flat tops while other parts look like spikes coming out of the ground. The map borders are completely undefined so you annoyingly often run into them . And I have no clue why that temple(?) needs an area transition altough it is clearly visible.
But the textures are well chosen, the fog and sounds are just right and the water looks really "swampy". I also have to admit that trying to create more of a natural-looking marsh with only light vegetation is harder to do than a jungle-like dense swamp. _________________________ In case you find my grammar/spelling weird sometimes -----> native german speaker ;-)

Hey, look at this, two great Swamp areas for the vault (:
I give it a 10, you did a good job on minimal placement yet made it look filled (:
But nicethugbert, what do you mean by "green again"? _________________________ Ugly_Ducks Portfolio
