Lore:
------------
In life, the Goddess Ebha (Gaelic of Eve, meaning alive, living) battled to protect her world when it was still boiling in formation. In eternal repose, her body forms the boundary between lands while her towering hand holds a guiding starlight to her loch bed in Glenn Toirbheart. To the west lies a harsh, ever-changing desert. To the north, chaotic highlands sprawl from her locks. To the east grows a giant and dense forest; and to the south a winding river flows out to sea.
Full set of areas with intro cutscene and partially developed quest(s) presenting the backstory of the mountain Ebha and the land and people surrounding.

This is the most original thing I have seen with the terrain tool. I hope you are working on another ground breaking piece. _________________________ Squeeky wheel gets the kick

Very imaginative and well exicuted. Brings to mind the sphinx. A use of the deformation tool that had never crossed my mind. Well done! _________________________ The toolset has gotten much better.
First, thank you all for your comments. It was very much a labor of love project (and perhaps still is).
I did sculpt it by 'hand'. When the Presale Toolset became available, I was trying to get accustomed to the terrain editor; and here's the result. I credit the Scottish Highlands tour guides (MacBackpackers?) for their inspirational stories about the bens and glens there (though I've since forgotten them).
Funny thing is, I still can't create a decent natural landscape; and oddly enough, the aspects of Ebha I'm most satisfied with (her legs especially) took the least amount of effort. When I started trying to 'perfect' parts, I screwed them up.
Obviously, there are design limitations. Specifically, no overhangs are possible; but, in retrospect, I wish I would have scaled her better. (She's a bit squat in the torso.) Yet, I suppose too much realsim would be...well, too much.
I'd like to do a man (on his side) sometime; but honestly, what to you do with such a huge monument? I couldn't decide (which is partially why the surrounding area is unfinished), so I thought I'd offer her to the masses.
Enjoy, and thanks again!

This is just groundbreaking use of the terrain editor.
Pray tell, how did you do this? Did you sculpt it by hand, or did you use one of those greyscale images? _________________________ "Time spent bitching is time wasted"
