| Name | Krondorl's D&D Monsters Compilation | | Author | Krondorl | | Submitted / Updated | 06-26-2008 / 08-12-2008 | | Category | Creatures: Other | | Patch | 1.12 | | NWN2Game | All | | Description | This is a compilation of my own additions from old TSR and WotC books and some few others from the vault.
This work is intended just to ease mod creators' life! As my compilation was grewing larger I decided to share it with the community.
This is all that were possible to do with the toolset and the custom content launched by the community.
I'd like to thank to the community for their creations, especially for the hakpaks, which made this .erf look very nice. I give the credit to those many dedicated and hardworkers who make things happen in this community.
One thing, I'm not taking credits for other peoples work! What I did was simply put it togheter with my own custom created monsters content and others blueprints. Many of the community creations I had redone myself to fit with the models and hakpaks I use in my personal archieve and to improve the looks of the blueprints too. I used many of the haks and models from the community and compiled all monsters blueprints that I've downloaded so far, but I don't have the time to look after one by one of the creators and contact or nominate all files used direct, or undirectly (blueprints, hakpaks and models), unfortunatelly! As I said, ALL THE CREDIT IS TO THE COMMUNITY, I've just added my own ideas and time spent searching in almost all D&D books to compile this pack of blueprints just to ease mod creators' life and to improve modding in the community, as I will also release some of my own since they're finished!

My special thanks to those guys, which I added some of their work into my compilation:
Seryn - Monsters from the Red Prison
HybridK - Nightmare
TheStorytellers01 - Animated Armors / Ringwraiths / Hellfire Skeletons
Wild Bill - Monster Manual Series
Vladosh - Caryatid Column / Nishruu
Talernon2 - Tainted Beastmen
7force - Great Red Wyrm
Kendaric - Monstrous Spiders / Racial Skeletons
Obs: Some of the appearances may not function as designed due to the use of hakpaks and models from the community, easily identified in the pictures. For those who don't use this packs and want to download my prefab, just feel confortable to change the appearances of the blueprints and have fun (most of them are new armors, helmets, shields, weapons, wings, hairstyles and heads models)!
For those interested, the basic hakpaks needed are:
Dragon Zombies, Zombie Wolves and Undead Monstrosities Link
Custom Creature Conversion Project Link
BOUNCE - Beholder Link
Dragonkin (with additional specialized armor options) Link
Unicorn Link
Patsy's & Sunlees Monsters Link
Feline Girls - Rakshasa Females Link
Yuan-Ti Link
I've put the edited .2da I use with this hak in the downloadable file for those who need it, and a pic from the override folder I have (just to point some directions).
This work ain't done yet! New additions will come as more new content is released by the community, and the associations/organizations section too (as I have time to spend on it). Any ideas for other blueprints are welcome, but there is a little restriction with the toolkit and the lack of models.
As asked, when I have the time, I'll try and put separated my personal blueprints from the whole, making 2 files to download (one with the whole and one just with my own content). For now, my personal blueprints are marked with "*" in the list above.

| Deleted most of storytellers blueprints, remaining only ringwraiths, animated armors and hellfire skelletons.
If anyone else has some feed to give, please do so. |

| Storyteller, it was not my intent to offend anyone with the use of their work... I used those works just to my own builds, and, grewing larger, I decided to share my file with the community.
Some of the work made by others I have changed, but not all of it, just a small part, which I identified as mine in the list above using "*". Yours I haven't change a thing! As they're all new and unique, and not from D&D books, but I liked those.
I've put it all together though, and that's the problem in the case, as it all, being my "build gallery", are together in the one file I've uploade.
I sincerelly apologize to you, as this was my first upload to the community, and I also think the same when you say "Its definitely NOT funny getting asked (literally!) a 1000 times. 'do you want to replace ST01_DUMMY_0101 with ST01_DUMMY_0101?'"...
I've replaced all original directories since I download the original from you, and from the others I've listed, as I did not have in mind to release my monster file (specially with those originals), but they grew together as I made my own and the community launched even more content.
I do apreciate de feedback and as soon I have the time, I will delete or modify the subfolders (the one which'll be more easy, as I'm running out of time to spent on it for a long period). I just changed the subfolder for organization pupose of my own gallery, and not for release purposes.
And, thanks for your contributions, it was your creations that inspired me to make my owns at first, and I liked yours a lot, very well made.

hehe.. as you, in case you find my grammar/spelling weird I'm brazilian, but if you want, you can write in german too! hehehe.. thanks again for the feed - since I have time I will make some changes in it. |
Posted by TheStoryteller01 at 2008-08-02 18:56:57 | Never thought I'd had to do this but this is the first upload I have to object to for various reasons. I just downloaded and checked it in the TS and here are my comments:
1.
You wrote "My special thanks to those guys, which I added some of their work into my compilation"
Fact is that my own work makes up for about 50% of the whole collection. In my book thats not the definition of "some".
2.
You claimed in a post "Many of the community creation I had redone myself to fit with the models and hakpaks I use in my personal archieve and to improve the looks of the blueprints too."
I checked some BPs of each of my uploads and you haven't changed a thing - which I am glad about because I try very hard to make everything fit perfectly together.
3.
I too was interested in your own creations because I am - as everybody else- inspired by other peoples creativity but I don't have 8 hours to spae just to sort your stuff out. which makes it kind of pointless including your own work at all.
4.
People who include your .erf in a mod where they allready included .erfs from the ORIGINAL downloads get duplicate messages. Its definitely NOT funny getting asked (literally!) a 1000 times. "do you want to replace ST01_DUMMY_0101 with ST01_DUMMY_0101?"
But to be constructive, there is room for improvement indeed. Since you replaced (at least in my case) the TS directories with "my creatures"+subfolders you could actually include the original uploaders name in the directory. Like doing one directory for everyone you included BPs from and doing subfolders with the respective groups OR leave the structure as you've done it and add subfolders for the creators(p.e. my creatures|undeads|storytellers undead). THAT way everyone could check what he allready has AND sort out the stuff thats new for him/her (like YOUR original creations)
I also want to add that I am completely aware I have no whatsoever rights over my BPs, after all its just pulled together toolset stuff without any genuine custom content. But I would expect *the community* to do more with my humble contributions, than just copying and re-uploading them - like p.e. putting them into a mod or PW so they become part of something thats genuine itself.
And if theres something I would really like to see, then that someone takes the top 10 haks (like Yeoman of the Greenwoods, Backpacks, Always Summer etc.)and redesigns every single of my blueprints with new armor, helmets, wings and whatever - I'd be the first one to give this a sparkling *10* and immediately download it :)

| | I've listed all hakpaks that are needed in a topic just above yours. Just click in the links. For the other content I use, you have to search in the vault, as they're optional and you just have to change the blueprint appearance to fit your best (those hackpacks are just new armor, weapon, hairstyle and head models - they don't conflict with each other - just put it in the override and you have those appearances I designed). |

| | Love it! |
Posted by FUZZYHART at 2008-07-15 10:02:52 | The hak file is not in the download.
Only erf and jpg, no hak.
I down loaded this twice no hak found.
separate download? |

| The .erf goes into the module. You have to import that into the module you're building.
The .hak I have listed you extract and put it into the override folder.
The .jpg is just for you to see the contents of my pack. |
Posted by FUZZYHART at 2008-07-13 10:32:20 | Call me Daffy but that made no since.
Dose the 1 erf file go in the the mod I'm building? what about all the jpg
files hak or override? |
Posted by Krondorl at 2008-07-13 10:00:17 Voted 10.00 on 07/01/08
| | those files you put in the override directory (decompressed). Just throw all hakpaks there (if they're on other file type rather than .hak file). Those which are on .hak file, you can use a hakfile extractor and can be downloaded in the vault. |
Posted by FUZZYHART at 2008-07-11 21:55:29 | | so where do i put this? |
Posted by FUZZYHART at 2008-07-11 19:47:06 | Oh i see wow!!
Dose this override any of the originals or dose this "put them all" in the toolset at the same time?
Or are they "only used instead one group at a time" and the 2da file's would have "to be merged into my mod" if i should use them.
Sorry but I'm just trying to get the full scope of this...Huge pack!!

| | No no no... many indeed are in the MotB module, like telthors, but they aren't in the toolset... that content from the expasion I've just extracted from the mod and made my personal blueprint modifications to fit the original monsters from TSR and WotC books. All ohter content I created the blueprint and appearance myself (re-textured some of the content to create new monsters that fit with the book's appearance) using those books, except for those creatures listed in this link, still, some of them I've modified to fit with new custom content from the vault. |
Posted by FUZZYHART at 2008-07-11 02:16:09 | hum i may be missing something but aren't many of these already in the MOTB toolset?
Are these all new and/or re-textures of them? |

| 10 just for including my Caryatid Column and Nishruu. I hope the scripts still work for everyone. I dont know if anything has broken with updates because I havent played for a while now.
More seriously, its about time someone collected the useful NPCs into one large download for newbies. |
Posted by jaz at 2008-07-02 12:00:22 | Great!!!
It would be cool to see some NPC packs as well (villagers, farmers, cooks, guards etc.). :) |

| | Nice! |
Posted by jaz at 2008-06-30 11:18:39 | Ah ok... I thought people were vaguely alluding to the "credit" issue. But that did not make much sense to me as the blurb starts out with:
"This is a compilation of various custom contents I've found in the vault and some of my own additions from old TSR and WotC books.
This is all that were possible to do with the toolset and the custom content launched by the community.
I'd like to thank to the community for their creations, especially for the hakpaks, which made it look very nice. I give the credit to those many hardworkers who make things happen in this community."
I don't see the part where he claims these to be his own creations. Furthermore, I would respectfully ask the author of this work to please keep it on the vault. This is a valuable asset that should not removed due to pettiness. |

Posted by conan 2005 at 2008-06-29 10:17:23 | | I can see the worth of having community creations as a compilation, but posting other peoples work without giving proper credit or permission, is a serious no-no. As is, right now, you are claiming these to be your own creations. I would remove it and get proper authorization before posting others work. |
Posted by jaz at 2008-06-28 10:44:54 | | Why is there interest in seperating out his own creations? And what is there to check? |
Posted by Falvin at 2008-06-27 21:42:40 Voted 10.00 on 06/27/08
| | Monstrous work. Just I don't know what to say... :P I have one question... Could you post these seperately as E.C.Patterson said? It could be easier to check it all. |
Posted by E.C.Patterson at 2008-06-27 20:58:19 | I downloaded and had a look at the compilation, and I'm not - for various reasons - interested in it at all. But I would be interested in checking out the blueprints that are of your own creation. Could you please post these separately? Thanks. _________________________ E.C.Patterson
