This package includes 7 chair types, 1 stool, and 2 thrones all of which can be sat on simply by clicking the chair once. Each type comes in three sizes: Large for common sized races, Medium for dwarven races, and Small for halflings and gnomes.
Erik, you use the chairs provided. Do not make your own and add scripts to them. You can make copies of the ones provided and then modify those copies to your liking.
If you'd rather not use my chairs, then just download my invisible sit placeables and manually put those on your chairs or benches.
Excellent idea Razare. However, I tried and it doesn't seem to work. This IS an erf file, so I will PRESUME I import it into the module (2 scripts), and then use the scripts on the chairs, yes?
If this is incorrect, then please tell me ASAP.
Erik
Yes, I understand, Red. If I recall, these silly little chairs took about 20 hours of work after it was all said and done. Mostly firing up the game and testing how each character's bum sat down, and then tweaking it by a few millimeters one way or the other.

I can't believe the crap I had to go through in order to finally realize that I don't have the patience to create a working Sit script myself. HUGE thanks, Razare, for doing this. I have only made a single change to your script: I added a couple of "else ifs" that check the user's size against the size of the chair, and if they aren't the right size, the user will do a SpeakString saying whether the chair is too big or too small. That's the only reason I didn't rate you a full 10 - if the chair was the wrong size, you didn't get much in the way of an explanation for why you just stand there doing nothing. Other than that, bro, you may very possibly have prevented serious violence and/or suicide here in Maine tonight. I was going IN-frickin-SANE.
Incredible Haulk, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. My chairs wont change size when you click on them if that's what you're asking. I've had people suggest that I do that, it wouldn't be that hard but I don't have the time. Pretty sure someone else has done it, though.

Is it possible to have the initial size as small or medium?
We have a "small people village" and it would look so much better if the chair was starting a medium or small.
Thanks

Great work. Since Obsidian do not seems to care about fixing ActionSit(), this is a very nice alternative. I shall remember Obsidian is not Bioware... I'm starting to script for NWN2 and i'm pretty sure i'm going to find many broken functions...

Thanks you, I like it and saves me a heap of effort. Keep up the good work. FOr all those that have simply downloaded and used without a vote, shame on you. Content creation needs encouragement and feedback, so get to it.

Haven't got the new patch yet, but it should make things worse. Now that scaling is allowed for PCs, if you scale your PC, they wont look right sitting in the chair. Minor scaling shouldn't look too bad but if you change it significantly from the default, you're bound to have clipping issues with the chairs.
Currently, there is no way of reading the scale settings from a PC. The only way to know is to get the data from their .bic file, something a script can not do.
I really wish the people at Obsidian would help us out with this chair problem. Sitting in a chair shouldn't be this difficult.

More ready-made benches and chairs are very welcome :)
Does this new 1.05 patch make things look or work better?
Thanks!
