Location: In the Local Vault, Role-Play category on Gamespy
Until more areas are done, it's a Sigil-based tavern where you can meet and roleplay with others coming from all around the multiverse.
Rule changes Some ruleset changes are involved, the most notable are:
* Re-vamped Genasi (you will need to create them with the same 2da files the module uses, else they'll be illegal).
* The addition of Camb's lizardman, ogre and pixie as playable races.
* The server uses an item filter. The item power cap is level 20, and generally bonuses are capped at +5. Higher bonuses will be tweaked to cost too much for level 20 items.
* NWN1's Damage Resistance and Damage Reduction are disabled, in favor of NWN2's material-based damage reduction.
* player1's Spell Fixes Compilation is in effect, so your spellcasting experience will be less buggy.
**Server online, mostly testing stuff out**
You will need to create a new character with the Character Creation Module (provided in the links below) for it to be legal online.
This server makes extensive use of the 3C - Music Pack override. You don't need it, but you will find most areas are very quiet and lack ambience without it.
I am also having trouble loading the character creation module, and I'm going off of a clean install of the game updated to whatever the number is of the current game version. The only custom content I have added thus far is the content required for this PWC. The character creation loads and I create my character, but when the module tries to load it hangs at ~95% of the "Completed updates phase 2" (or whatever the exact lable is) portion.
OK, I experimented an hour or so. It appears that there was a conflict with some other hak(s) which I removed. Now the module works.
I'm anxious to give it a try now, so...
Good work so far, keep it up!
And thanks for the help anyway ;)
The only thing I know that would prevent the module to load is if you would be missing a hak somewhere. It uses the same as the online module, btw, if only so that your character shows up properly.
Very nice idea. But the offline character creation module won't work. It appears in the module list, but it won't load. Don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but can anyone give me a hint? Thanks.
I don't see why traveling between cosmologies wouldn't be possible. It would throw off too many RP possibilities, as you mention here.
Besides, there are some nice areas that can only be done with prime material planes. So yes, it would be possible.
Not that the travel itself would be easily feasible, though... ;)
Just to ask (need to know this for when the server goes up again)would sigil possibly have portals between multiverses/cosmologies? (Perhaps enabling quick trips thru deep shadow and deep ethreal (parts of those planes unassociated with a material plane) As seen in MotP 3E sourcebook?
I've got a tiefling warlock, but I've already played with that character in an FR-based campaign, meaning that I couldn't otherwise play on your server without throwing consistency to the wind or assuming that the Sigil in the FR cosmology is the same as the one in Planescape. _________________________ __________________________________________________
Megadeth has a very intelligent way of talking about governments and religions: Either they bullshit you or try to kill you for not being one of them. I wholeheartedly agree.
(Note: Just because Mustaine is christian doesn't mean he believes EVERYTHING the bible tells him.)
