Description
I'm no scripter. I was disappointed that NWN2 did not included/finish the secret door scripts used in NWN1 and/or did not include "placealbe" doors to be used with these scripts.

Rewriting the scripts was no problem. It is the door placeables that was the issue.

I created two "wooden" door placeables (made from a crate) for both the wall and floor trap doors and two stone secret doors. Again a wall and floor trap door.

The scripts work exactly as they did in NWN1.

Place the detect tirgger.
Give it a unique tag... trig_secdoor1
Set the DIFF variable to the detect DC you want.
Set the "on enter" to the script you want to use....

tw_sec_tdoor wooden trap door
tw_sec_wdoor wooden wall door
tw_sec_stdoor stone trap door
tw_sec_swdoor stone wall door

Create two waypoints using loc and dst + the unique tag of your trigger to create the location of your secret door and it's destination

(waypoints using example above)

loc_trig_secdoor1
dst_trig_secdoor1

And you're done!

Everything else works just as it did in NWN1!

A tip for placing the wall door waypoint. Point the arrow towards the wall and move it into the wall until the flag is just showing.

This is a must for any NWN builder. I have used these scripts repeatedly and I recommend them to anyone, this is the way a secret door should work and it works a charm. If you don't have it yet, get it AND VOTE for it. Thanks, Tzell!

A very useful package, I'm glad it was transitioned out of NWN1, to 2. I've been working on some VFX files that create Doors using model files. Maybe you can use them to fix this door issue?

I was a bit shocked to see that NWN2 didn't have fully functioning secret doors. For what it's worth, they're one of my favorite things.

I've seen the script in action often, and it works perfectly. A very useful addition to the community!

Thanks for putting this together. Although not the ability to activate/deactivate the secret doors made to blend in to the tilesets, these are probably as close as we can get for now.
