With the aid of Patcha's extraordinarily lovely scripts I've managed to create sittable chairs and such for use with persistant servers.
One of the main issues was adding a slight delay to the sitting emote to compensate for any amount of lag persistent worlds may encounter.
The rar file contains a small area with every placeable chair/bench and cushion in it for use by the "large" races. If a small race tries to sit in one of the chairs, another placeable is spawned in to replace it effectively allowing the short one to sit.
All chairs are positioned under Placeables|SITABLES. A folder named PLACEHOLDER contains all the smaller chairs.
Thank you very much to Patcha for his hard work and for letting me expand it.

This is a genuine time-saver. It took all the initial set-up work out of implementing Patcha's excellent script. _________________________ Co-founder of the PW (open beta) Sea of Dragons. It is a quest-heavy (yet has sandbox elements) role-play server geared towards party adventures for mid level characters.

Excellent, just what I was looking for. It's a pity there can't be collisions on the chairs though, I find it a bit jarring when you can just walk through the chairs. Does what I needed it to do though.

Thanks a lot for the votes. It was intended to serve as an easy to import set of blueprints and now I see that it works.
Good luck on working with them and it certainly would be nice if anyone would post a link to their PW's, so I can watch them in action.

I love packs like these that work perfectly right off the bat. A simple installation. (Just import the erf.) Premade chairs. (Yay! I don't have to waste time coping blueprints, installing scripts in the slots, log in and out of the game repeatedly to test the chairs.) And already a solution to issues that may arise. (PW player complaints about thier character model sizes not fitting.) Thank you so much for this package, it's probably cut about a weeks worth of build time for me.
Its a wonderful pack, The only reason I'm giving 9.75 instead of 10, is that you've improved upon the idea from another submitter. As much as it is better than the original, credit must be due. If I could give you a 9.99 I would. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Is there any way you could post the script for it and how you did it? I'm a strong supporter of open source. That, and I'm just starting out with the Toolset and would like to learn how it's done.
Thanks for the help.

What you should do is alter the size of the smaller chairs in the PLACEHOLDER folder under PLACEABLES. Those are the ones that are spawned in instead of the larger ones.
Alter the blueprints and they will spawn in whatever size you want. :)
Thanks for creating this.
One thing. Can you do so the chairs don't get so small for smaller creatures? Low is fine, but it would be better if the chair was wider. It looks kind of silly when a dwarf sits on those tiny chairs (the animation is girly enough on its own).
Thanks :)

Excellent package. I've always found Patcha's system to be a bit maladroit, but I managed to work with it. And which took me a considerable amount of time to create, is perfectly imported in this package featuring 56 usable placeables (even cushions). Thank you again for this contribution. I will extend my usage with your handy set of scripts.
Yours sincerely,

The main difference game-wise lies in how you use the chairs. If you are a small race trying to use a large chair, you will need to click the chair twice. Once to alter the chair size and the second time to actually sit. It's the same with larger races trying smaller chairs.
I believe Patcha's original scripts combined those two actions which proved difficult to use on a PW.
I've also added a local variable called "rotate" which allows a builder to set the facing when it comes to reversed chairs. For instance the "Broad Back Chair" uses the CityMChair5 appearance. By setting the "rotate" to 180 it compensates for sitables facing "the other direction".

Thank you for this contribution. But could you please mention the main difference between yours and Patcha's system, besides the delayed command. Haven't got the time right now to test this out, but I will have this evening. And vote for your work. I have a PW fully set up with Patcha's sittable chairs (modified though). Would there be any advantage using your set of scripts?
Thanks in advance,
