Patch  1.23

Description
This package removes free spell selection upon levelup, and removes all starting spells and cantrips. Wizards will need to find scrolls to scribe.

The included erf, xml, and 2da files work together to prevent a wizard from starting with and selecting free spells upon level-up.

***IMPORTANT****
put levelup_spells*.xml (where the * is your current xp pack of NWN2, change it manually) in the NWN2 custom gui folder.

put packspwiz*.2da (where * is the wizarding school of your choice; 1 is generalist) in the NWN2 override folder.

import the erf with one script into your module, paint a trigger over the start location, and put the script in the "OnEnter" slot.

I haven't tried this with MoTB, I assume you'd just change the end of the XML file to "X2."

Hi, nice thinking! I was wondering if this works for sorcerer too? I know sorcerers are supposed to be "natural" casters but I think they would have to be shown at least once to know something, so this makes sense to me. Plus it gives me something to do with all those friggin scrolls I keep finding :D

You can't. An ERF is for importing into a module. These look as though they're meant to be used as an override, so just dumping in the /override folder should be fine.

Sorry, this is my first "release" and I'm rather new at this. I didn't know you could include an override XML and 2da file in an erf. How can I do this?

I really would like to use this. And I DO know how to download these files and "save as". But putting them into an ERF so they can be downloaded without the xml or 2da file being opened as active documents would be nice.

Also, possible you could just put up an MOTB version?

Once these issues are fixed, I'll happily vote. Problem is, I have a lot of other time to spend in the toolset and rather not spend it doing save-as and renaming, testing, figuring out if there are underscores required...
