Hi, Gamemaster X here. I was peeking up the games skirt and looking at all its private parts and it occurred to me it would be nice to have all the stock scripts in an e-book format. What you have here is VOL 1 of a three part series of Neverwinter Nights 2 Stock scripts (the ones that install with the game). VOL 1 concentrates on Main Scripts or those scripts not specific to spells or a specific area. My intention is for the final series to be laid out as follows.
VOL I Main Scripts
VOL II Spell Scripts
VOl III Area Scripts
VIL IV 2da
Ok folks Ive been getting requests for Vol 2 & 3 so sorry for the delay, but I thought no one was interested. I will have them up in at least rough form by the end of this weekend. Please take this opportunity to post any complaints or request for changes to Vol I so I can smooth them out too.
My next project is to dismantle the 2DA files.

A lot of solid work is done here. So I hope my vote will reflect this for you GM X. Thank you.
Find seems to work fine on my computer, I did notice that I left the .txt extention on all my apendix entries so you couldn't just highlight and Find as intended. This has been fixed.

There seems to be aproblem with the ms_reader format.
Try searching for something like ginc_cutscene. It wont find it. It WILL find ginc, and will find cutscene, but when you put them together, no dice. Not sure if the search parameters need to be specified differently, but without being able to find a specific script (say, nw_io_generic) the 2000 pages of info becomes useless. Unless this is workable somehow, thats another reason to go with pdf.

This was obviously a large amount of work, and I appreciate you making it available in the pdf and doc formats. An excellent compilation that seems to be a very handy resource. Thanks for the hard work, submission, and updates.

I think it is a very useful resource for searching quickly for a script that I would need in a particular situation, especially for beginners like myself. Thanks for taking the time to do this! _________________________

Good news about the abridged version. Thanks. I'd like to see more than a one line comment though for each script. What would be useful if it's possible is the whole script description header (that part at the beginning of each script you've got in green essentially).
Thanks for your hard work. _________________________ E.C.Patterson Gaming Parents Studios
Thanks for all the feedback! The need I want this document to fill will be best served in MsReader format so there! That said my original manuscript died a horrible death so I must start all over. Thats good news because I can take some of the suggestions to task as well. Here is my revised battle plan;
1. I will select less obnoxious colors that still fit the script viewers color scheme (comments will be some shade of green that translates well to my pocket pc small screen)
2. I will release my source .doc files so people can bend, spindle and mutilate them as needed.
3. I will release a abridged version (script name and a once line comment) of VOL I. I dont see any use for an abridged version of VOL II and III, but if people want it Ill abridge them too!
My next project will be a twin to this one putting all the 2da files into books. I hope to re-release VOL I by the end of this weekend for all to enjoy and I freely give my blessing for someone to take my source .doc and make a pretty PDF out of it.

also, as an aside- the bright green font is VERY difficult to read. I would suggest a dark blue instead. _________________________ Jackyo [email protected]

a very good idea, marred by a terrible choice of using Microsoft reader. Just installing that beast was a pain, it defaults to 1/2 size screens, wants you to register, update, etc.
Resubmit as pdf or doc and score goes to 7, as it is a nice idea. _________________________ Jackyo [email protected]
I've been thinking such a thing would be useful. I think though you do not need the full scripts in there, just their description header. The purpose of the document to me being to let people know what sort of scripts are readily available for them to use. This would bring the number of pages to a manageable level. I would highly recommend you produce such a version if at all possible.
Though MSReader is an interesting format (didn't know about it previously), not sure it is the best for this purpose. I'd need to play around with it a bit more.
For PDF and Doc, make sure you have a hyperlinked Table of Contents. A hyperlinked Appendix would be great too.
Thanks for making this. I really hope you produce the "abridged" version. :) _________________________ E.C.Patterson Gaming Parents Studios

I have to echo caschoeps here, although will refrain from casting a vote in the hope you can rectify the problem. This would seem like a really nice idea, but we need to see it in a more commonly used format. _________________________ View my blog regarding the Relbonian Chronicles project --> Link

It would be useful if it were in some readable format. DOC, PDF, even TXT would be more helpful than some unspecified 'ebook' format without information where to get a reader.
