i_gadot,
I'm not sure what you mean by "qualify", but the archery/dual-wielding feats ranger gain still work if you are multiclassed, as long as you wear light armour.
If you guys are set on taking cleric levels (yes, Evasion and Uncanny Dodge are so juicy for Dexterity-based builds) and want to avoid the xp penalty (for elves with wizard as favoured class), I suggest going 1 wizard / 4 fighter / 3 cleric / the rest to AA (as soon as you reach 10th level with AA, get 1 more fighter and cleric; after we get epic levels in some expansion [hopefully there will be NWN2 add-ons], it's only AA after level 20). You'll still need a good imagination if you want to RP this...
John ap-Rhys,
You have to miss quite a few quests and fights in order to fail reaching 20th level with race that has no Level Adjustment. One of my playthroughs I managed to get a drow to reach 20 during the final battle. And my "worst" attempt XP-wise was with an aasimar paladin who missed many side-quests (first try at the OC; omitting quests which included burglary and murdering) and reached only late level 19. So 20th level is quite possible, unless you are a deep gnome.
Da-Ni,
That is a decent build. Though, exactly for the OC I would put more points to strength (for damage from Mighty bows) and loose some from Constitution (as you mentioned) and swap Toughness for another feat. You have plenty of characters to tank for you, so no need to boost your hit points that high. Also, why do you need to have such high spellcraft? Saves versus spells, perhaps? For the campaign it's a good idea to invest points in social skills, since there is an humongous amount of such skill-checks. _________________________ The signature is on vacation. I'm not sure the ranger combat-style feats qualify for the AA, but if they do, it'd be much better to take:
ranger 9 / AA 9 / cleric 1 / wizard 1
wood elf of course.
I like the idea of using the cleric domains for Evasion and Uncanny Dodge. I'll definitely try this build out in PvP and see how it fairs against my other builds. As for reaching level 20 in the OC, my fighter/barb/weapon master reached level 20 before Act 3 I believe. Gotta do all the side quests.
It occurs to me, if actually using this build in the OC, if built with a half-elf, the cleric level could be taken just after the first wizard level, and the domain feats would then be useful to the game. No multiclass XP penalty, and I don't know of anyone playing the OC who saw level 20 anyway. Still a little weird from an RP perspective.
