A Spell Sequencer Rod that allows storage and insta-casting of 3 spells! Baldurs Gate 2 Spell Sequencing is back! Give this to all your party members if you want, cast any scrolls or spells on it, and use it to insta-cast them back.
Tested and used extensively with v1.03 patch of the game (probably works with other versions too, its just a simple uti file to drop into your override directory).
I am planning on using this in part2 of Nestlehaven, as some sort of 'rare artifact' - so I will take a look (I am using 1.06).
The question mark fountain means you are using a Special Ability that Obsidian has not created a visual effect for. So what they did, to let mod builders know the 'effect' triggered, is to have the question makr fountain.
Personally, I wish there was a toggle for it. Many abilities WORK but we are stuck with the fountain because of no associated visual. _________________________ Jackyo [email protected]
Under the Cast Spell properties (in the toolset), you can get the 'spell' "Clear Sequencer". Unsurprisingly, it clears the sequencer.
Since patching to 1.05, I have a weird glitch - When I cast the 'sequence', the sequencer works normally, but question marks shoot from my head (like a fountain), and the PC screams "So much pain, so much pain, please help me!!!"
Has anyone else experienced this? _________________________ MOVE SIG!
no, no version 2 planned. I've not really fiddled with the rod (though I use it in every game I play, and have found it super useful), but i dont recall if there was a 'sequencer undo' function or not.
But its easy enough to simply drop the rod and spawn in a new one if you want to change the spells on it. _________________________ Jackyo [email protected]

Ive been using this tool both in my own mods and in the OC, its an absolute must-own. Completely takes the chore out of buffing. I've gotten to the point where I have different rods with different sequenced buffs on them, and use one of the tools available here (custom craftsmen) to rename the rods so i know what each does.
One request though - as it is now, there is no way to 'undo' the charges on a rod - so if I want to change the spells, i need to basically spawn in a new rod. Overwriting existing spells dont work.
Will you/Can you create a v2.0 that allows that? I noticed a special ability in the editor called 'sequencerclear' or something like that, so maybe you can play with that to get it working.
HotToddie - you are the 2nd person to have this issue. Apparently, you need to store *3* spells, not 2, or it doesnt always work. Not sure why this is so, but I've been able to reproduce the error. Add another spell (doesnt matter what it is) and they will all fire when you use the rod.
I downloaded your tool, and it looks like it could have potiential, but its not working. i cast stoneskin and bless on it, it tells me the spells are stored, but when i use it back it says 'no spells stored.'
am i messing up or is there something else to do?

A GREEAAATTT tool. I was using the Full Party Buff Rod, but that stops working when you change your party composition. This one doesnt! Also love how it doesnt cost you any spell points to use once its set up. I can cast my buffs as many times as i want without any fuss or muss.
A great tool all the way around!!!!

you need to type DebugMode 1 and then hit and *then* do the giveitem line. Sorry I wasnt clear on that in the readme file.
So, to do:
1 - highlight a character with rt click
2 - DebugMode1
3 - giveitem sequencerrod
To use -
1 - open inventory
2 - rt click on the sequencer rod to target it.
3 - cast spells/scrolls (3 in total)
Use as a normal rod. Activate it, and it will autocast your spells (without actually costing you the spells again from your spellbook, so you can use the rod over and over again if you want, even during combat).
