This tool might come in handy for those who retexture models without a modeling program, or who want to grab the UV grid of an MDB quickly. It will allow you to save the UV layout of the MDB in a variety of sizes.
This tool used to be exclusively bundled with the Armor Retexturing Tutorial, but I thought it would reach more as a seperate download. It is in a beta state, and lacks several features. I'll add more functionality and preference control if I find the time.
Heh, sorry about the lax updates lately for the cloner, just that I've been working pretty hard on my CC contest entry. Also after assessing the situation with the cloner, I'll probably have to make a major overhaul to its interface to allow independant texture assignment to different meshes in the model.
I'm glad you both liked the Ripper, although I have to warn you about a bug that may crop up. Some models will have a U or V value that isn't between 0 and 1. What this means is the texture will work fine in the game, but the cloner will draw a blank image because it thinks the UV map is "out of bounds". It doesn't seem like this happens for any of the stock OE models, but some custom mdb's won't work with the ripper for this reason. I'm not really sure why some mdb's ended up this way, possibly how they were built or a plugin used to map them.

Although now i learned how to export UVs via 3ds max, that's a tool I was looking for for a long time! A must for all 2D tools only content creators!
What's about a batch processing feature for the mdb cloner btw? :P

I had to give this a 10, this tool is exactly what I have been looking for and is worth its weight in gold. _________________________ "Whatever blows your hair back."
