!!!MAJOR UPDATE!!!
This tiny tool lets players choose which override/ui/music folders load before joining the game.
There won't be any more issues dealing with wrong and/or merged custom contents folders since everything is kept well organized and separated.
Developers will benefit for the use of this tool too since they can easily backup their current custom contents folders and add/edit/develope custom contents without any fear.
HOW TO USE
- Rename your custom contents folders accordly to you needs.
- Run the "NwN2xLauncher.exe" executable.
- Select your custom contents folders from the directory browser dialogs.
- Manage your options and launch the game/toolset/DMclient/update (no readme).
PLEASE NOTE
No custom contents folders will be ever moved/replaced/erased/whatever.
Only the *current* contents folder will be replaced with the new one.
Please backup your folders at least once if you don't feel safe about what you're doing.
Moreover, there's no official support for the "Quick Load" and "Direct Connect Mode".
I've managed to get them with some tricks (basically on-the-fly custom uis and file renaming).
Once again if you don't feel safe with these options do not use them.
I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE BY ANY MEANINGS FOR DATA LOSS AND OR ANY OTHER PROBLEMS REGARDING THE USAGE OF THIS TOOL.
Just unzip the package wherever you want and run the NwN2xLauncher executable.
No installation required, source code available on request (email on profile).

My PW uses Files in the following Folders:
/my documents/neverwinter nights 2/...
hak - override - pwc - tlk
now when I start the SoZ-campaign some descriptions of classes and spells are missing, the new Yuan-ti and Grey Orc are invisible until I rename those files or move they on another place. So it would be nice to have a tool like this to do this.
Hope you could update this - Thumb up!
Well, we'd only need more PWs staff release their contents under this new pattern instead of simply throw it all in the big black override-folder hole.
Great idea ! I'll give it a tray later on. _________________________ "Duty is everything - the greatest of joys, the deepest of sorrows..."

This is pretty cool. Would it be possible to add the dialog.tlk in the root directory? The Spell Fixes and PRC mods, and a few others require that dialog.tlk to be changed, but it would be nice to be able to disable/switch it out it quickly. _________________________ Smorpheus' Toolset Visual Index Link

I was looking for a way to manage my custom content, especially between playing and developing. I have been moving folders around manually every time I play or open the tool set and I still get tripped up. This makes custom content management a lot simpler, as well as adding faster loading options. Thank you. _________________________ Charlie's Pages | Fournoi Forum | Charlie's UI | Charlie's Item Modifier | Charlie's Item Appearance Changer
I think you should try to increase the number next to the "Quick Load" option.
One thing to note is that "Play online" option does not directly connect to the server. It only setup your connection data into the login panel.
What really direct connect to the server is the "Quick load" option that hides the intro movies and leads you through the login procedure.

Wonderful work!!!
Finally I don't have to get crazy with different override folder from different PW!!!

This tool is incredibly useful.
I'm sure everybody has gotten annoyed in some way when they want to play a different campaign or PW to find that their various overrides need changing, removal, or adding.
This tool allows you to pick specifically which folder of overrides you wish to use, which makes that once petty annoyance completely gone.
I myself found and downloaded a tool for NWN1 like this ages ago that was German, only to find out the project went by without much interest or support.
I'm glad you at least are getting some fame, respect, and possible support for your tool, and hopefully sometime someday your tool will have an incredible amount of inovative and incredible features. _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

I think that the standard NwN2Launcher automatically choose the right nwn2main based upon system specs. I'll do it as well for the sake of simplicity.
@ Venture
As from the screenshot, the second choice will clear the current override folder if no custom one is selected. It will be automatically created an incremental backup of the current one.
Nothing will be ever deleted with this tool since it could be too much pain for players.
Selected options are stored into the nwn2player.ini hence everytime you run the loader you'll find the last options selected.
The "always choose what you want" option doesn't sound very comfortable to me.
To meet your request I'll try to make an automatic login for PW with the right custom folder setting.
Or, as an addition to my previous comment- it would be nice if this launcher would default to a clean override at every launch, and the player would have to select to use another in the dropdown menu. This is simply so one world couldn't screw up another if a player forgets to clear the override before switching servers. (or maybe it already defaults to this . . .) _________________________ NWN Campaigns - the NWN/NWN2 Campaign Database Naeldor Weekly Campaign
I've only looked at the screenshot, but is there a "use empty override folder" option? If not, this would be nice to have, as it would be an easy way to force a "clean" override folder before joining a server that doesn't use the override directory (since there are reports of overrides crashing some servers). _________________________ NWN Campaigns - the NWN/NWN2 Campaign Database Naeldor Weekly Campaign
