Bridges you sink through drive you nuts?...Well here is how I made a bridge work.
First paint level land under where you wish your bridge at the height your bridge will be. Just trust me.. Bake it. Yes bake it.
Second add your bridge DO NOT alter anything about the bridge except scale and plot if you wish.
Third take the lowering brush and now remove the land from below the bridge.
Step four..rebake...yes bake it again..
Worked for all three of our bridges, now you have a walkable surface yet it appears as it should water flowing beneath in this case.
Or... you can load an OC module with a walkable bridge and check the bridge properties to se how they've done it (that worked for me). Docks should work the same way, me thinks.

Ask and ye shall recieve. I figured out a way to get docks working for those of you having problems.
If you make the terrain under the dock placeable walkable by using the walkmesh painter you will be able to walk on it. I didn't change any of the properties on the dock placeable just made the terrain below it walkable.
Well..docks aren't on my list yet..but bridges really gave me a run for it. If our team figures it out we will be sure to post it _________________________ If you love RP you'll love! Link
I dont realy get it i have never had any problms with it...
i just put a bridge in and chanced the highed with
"page up/down" and then did bake it and maby did chance the highed a few times but it was alwase baked good.
but if you found a way to make docks baking good let me hear because mine got some non-walkebel bars between the parts...
